Hey Juicypants,
In summary,
1) Go ahead and get started on mixing 9 of the tracks : White Chocolate, House, Elizabeth Taylor, Kamakaze Girl, Belly of the Crab, Archeologist, Moons, Pink Lemonade, and X the Unknown.
2) Rehearse your possibilities to the opening of Masterson the Bat.
3) Set up next studio session where Ill do vocals for Talia, Live Minnows (and maybe Masterson the Bat).
Leave the following tracks in the can until I can join you: Talia, Aeolian Harp, Masterson, Marilyn Monroes Diary, Live Minnows.
More detailed notes are below! When are you returning to NJ/NY?
CW
----------------------------------------
01 WHITE CHOCOLATE -
Combine the 3 guitar solos into one.
Subdue the keyboard bass solo.
Give the distorted guitar in the choruses some UMMMPH!
Theres a track of mostly guitar noodling - get rid of it (except for the part that pertains to the solo).
Work on the bottom end and the kick drum.
During the clockwork intro and outro, drop the guitar down in the mix so it sounds like a distant chime.

02 HOUSE
Bring out the drums, and make them thick!
The instruments in the intro and outro should be loud, just as the layered vocals should be.
Little to no reverb on the flute please.

03 ELIZABETH TAYLOR
Use the Nasal vocal.
Mix the back up vocals on the o, la la la part
Then leave my solo nasal vocal for the line:
Welcome to 1954; I didnt want to dream about her anymore.
I couldnt bear the movie screen
Then add the back up vocals for 1962, 1963, 1964
Then back to me solo for 1965.
Mix in the better keyboard solo.
Make sure Flute is audible in the mix.

04 KAMAKAZI GIRL
This one is almost ready. The preliminary mix you sent me is very close to what Id want as a final version. You can try a new mix if you want.

05 TALIA - wait on Talia - I want to be in the control room when this is mixed. I also want to add one more vocal part as an overdub.

06 BELLY OF THE CRAB -
keep my tired voice as the main vocal, but drop it out on the chorus.
Pick the best set of vocals for the chorus.

07 ARCHEOLOGIST - Pick whichever you feel is the best performance and pop it in over the top of the existing one.
Keep the mix of this song less than 3 minutes long.

08 AEOLEAN HARP - I want to be in the control room when this is mixed.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
09 MOONS -
Mix this at your own discretion; theres a part with the keyboards during the bridge at the middle where Steve overdubbed a flubby version. Work on the bottom end and the kick drum.
10 MASTERSON THE BAT - Hold off until I can return to the studio.
11 MARILYN MONROES DIARY - Hold off until I can return to the studio.
12 LIVE MINNOWS - Hold off until I can return to the studio.

13 PINK LEMONADE -
Piano up in the mix please. Mix at your own discretion.
14 X THE UNKNOWN -
Again, mix this at your own discretion; theres a part with the keyboards during the bridge at the middle where Steve overdubbed a flubby version.

That sounds like fun. Will we lowly consumers be able to purchase this stuff, as and when?
