I got very frustrated and grumpy last night.
I was trying to set a date where I and three of my musical collaborators could get together to lay down some tracks (songs that we wrote many years ago). Project called Bells of Orchids. Anyhow, with our families, jobs, adult crap, we found that only two weekends in the next 6 months are possibilities. And one guy hasnt weighed in yet. Its getting more and more difficult to make music. Im going to have to seek a new unit.
Then I was thinking about the pieces Im going to do to show at the Alumni show in June and visualized a piece called My Three Wives. One of the requirements would be for three girls in bras to surround me in a Family portrait. Again, impossible, because all the women I know are too adult to expose themselves in a public artwork.
I could hire models, but co-ordinating and paying for 3 models in the same place at the same time just isnt worth it.
Years ago I would have had no shortage of musicians or models to collaborate with, for FREE! Now, my resources are weak.
So, already grumpy, I started to think about throwing in the towel on making art altogether for a while. Maybe just concentrate on enjoying my family life, and the art and music of others.
Then my own PITYPARTY began to get on my nerves. So I took an asprin and crawled into bed.

I think you should be looking to do new work with new collaborators, and keep the Bells stuff till you can get together with those people. If you stop working on your art, you'll regret it, IMHO.
I wish I was a bit closer, I'd work for free..don't let that get around though
