frankly, i would get too bored hanging around the same type of people all the time and actually being "myself." hell, i've got friends i don't even particularly like! of course i act different around different types of people, everyone does, but that doesn't mean that all those different facets aren't still ME. you can tell if you're being phony or just highlighting one part of your personality. i think we all need different types of friends to release different types of tensions.
and to make life interesting, of course.
