So............muggy, innit?
What's new--well, while in GF i ransacked my dad's shit, garnering a bicycle, a jean jacket, much kitchenware, and an air rifle (my new favorite toy-I have no ammo, but the air itself is great for taking out insects that invade my home). Also managed to acquire a TV, a VCR/DVD combo unit, and new glasses (got those in the mail yesterday). And...

Taking you off my ignore list was not an invitation to post in my journal. Ranting about our past was not an invitation for you to read it.
And I find it interesting that you, apparently so certain that you're in the right, telling me just yesterday to leave you alone, would continue to spend so much time justifying yourself. Get over it. That conversation...

I have always wondered what it would be like to have that "going home" feeling. Unfortunately I still live in the city I grew up in and my childhood home was sold off years ago. Sometimes I go back to my old neighborhood. But it's not the same. Everyone, and I do mean everyone has moved away. All young upper middle class families now. When I was there it was almost all retirees and older working class families.

Hope the trip home was a good one.

All hail the freakin' Decembrists.

Maybe you're happy now and you don't know it.

That'd be my favorite line out of Palindromes, an otherwise disappointing excercise. One of those movies that couldn't quite be what it was aiming for, & more's the pity.

Do you have any idea what you did? How you lied?
It's sad to watch you carry your head high, to...

The most annoying people are the ones that dont even realize that they should be feeling ashamed after doing shitty things.

My ex-best friend is the most capable of doing this than anyone I've ever met. He can justify literally any poor behaviour to himself.
holy_mountain:
I've never heard of that movie before. I'll have to put it on the to-watch list hehe.

And the worlds got me dizzy again.
You think after 22 years Id be used to the spin,
but it only feels worse when I stay in one place
so Im always pacing around or walking away.

Not graduating on Saturday wouldn't have been a problem.
Going to commencement anyway was.

This is never an easy time of year. Friendships forged in classes but not...

I know how you feel, when I graduate in a year from now i'll most likely go to grad school out of state. Most of my friends will stay in florida or they'll move across the other of the country from me. I might see them again but the visits will be far and few in between. That's how things in life work out though.

Lots of SG people were met by me this weekend!!! biggrin I love it!!

Do you think people will ever again give their children names like "Ralph," "Gus," "Agnes," & "Ethel?"

I have my doubts.

On the other hand, there are a lot of more recent trends that need to go. Like my name being so popular. Just what I fucking need: to reach middle age and be surrounded by fucking teenagers that've stolen my identity. Fuckers.

And stop...

in my generation it was scott, steve, gary and dave. we're all greying now, and jealous of cool names like connor.

but connor is just the latest overseas import, as were eric and dylan and emily and kjersten. who knows...next generation, it may be rolf, kwami, winnie or john paul.

but never again an Elmer or Elaine or Barbara or Kathy. it's a shame.

jay leno was never very funny, and is even less funny in daily doses. he'll never have the panache of carson, jack paar or steve allen.

and what's with his hair? when he started on TV, it was black with a grey streak. now it's grey with a black streak where the white once was. that's genetically WRONG!

What is wrong with my car that would prevent me from being a teacher?

I really doubt the parents have seen my car, but if they have then they would totally know it was mine. I wore my new NIN shirt to work today. The parents really don't care I guess.

ARRR!!!
