wow, 42 hours at work over three days. I'm so tired right now, but I can't sleep any more than I already have. I've had the absolute worst three days I've ever had at this job, which is odd considering my department kicked ass over those three days. As well as I've been doing I'm now being put in charge of another department as well, and training the new manager who is coming in later this week, I'll be in charge until he knows what the hell he is doing, which i'm not too hopeful of happening before Christmas.
The reason the last few days have been so bad is almost entirely due to one of the other managers in the building. When the last store director left she put herself in charge and has proceeded to totally fuck up just about everything she has touched. She was in charge of hiring...every department with the exception of one is short of people because she would let such long times elapse between when she interviewed and when she called people back in. She also "organized" our Black Friday shit. Which is to say that the signs only got put up because someone else did it, the bulkouts weren't all sale items, had no prices on them, the main sale large items weren't taken down in the warehouse, she didn't have the warehouse pull any of the internet orders all day long, so we constantly had customers HOLDING items which were already purchased by someone online. And that's just the short list.
Maybe she'll put in her two weeks after Thursday's meeting. There is someone already trained who I would much rather see do that job and would handle it quite a bit better.
