I've been going to a relatively new coffee house: Mocha Dreams, the past couple Mondays to read my poetry. It's wonderful!!! There's an excellent sound system - and people are actually quiet and listen to not only me but the other performers as well. It's run by my friend Jeremy aka the kid with the hair in his face. He has two pony tails. One that goes down the back of his head and neck and one that that goes straight down the middle of his face. He's unique. He also has a ring in his nose. He books and runs not only the open mic that I've been to, but he gets people from all over the world to perform at the open and other nights of the week.
Anyway, I've been getting wonderful applause and lots of wonderful compliments there. And I sold a cassette tape which is a real bargain - only $6. for 38 poems - and a book, to two musicians Monday of this week. The musician who bought my book asked for my permission to write music for the poems. He's a fantastic guitar player. I hope he really does - and it's good music - and maybe I could read my poems while he plays the music to them. That'd be really great! Another musician who bought 2 of my books and who I met at The Phoenix Coffee House, has taken 2 of my poems and made one song out of them. I have a cd that he gave me with that song and 3 or four of his other songs on it. But he honestly doesn't seem to be doing much with the song. Or maybe the Mocha Dreams musician wants to sing my poems as well. In that case, I want royalties.
Anyway that's some new things going on in my life.
I send my love out to all my SG friends ...

That is fine for some one with lots of money and no bills, I do good to pay all my bills and go out for a beer on a Saturday, I've only bought like 4 or 5 CD's in a year, maybe even less, most of the CD's I listen to are 2 and 3 years old.

That's great to have people wanting to do music with your writing. Be sure to find out if they put any of it on the web.
