well I have to say that I don't really get into sports, I didn't watch them when I was young and I really don't know much about them now.

hmmm, I've never seen that movie. I'm going to have to check out TCM and see when it's on next.

Freddy sent me to Mesquite for my birthday, massage and hotel room, then my girlfriends that went with me, got me a facial and manicure. Mesquite is about and hour drive east of Vegas. It's like a mini Vegas just inside the state line, but they have fantastic spas there that are priced very reasonably, so it's worth the drive rather than try to go to one of the spas here in town.

As for expressing opinions, I think it's your right, as it's your journal. You didn't say to anyone "Don't do this" You stated your opinion and that's your right. It really should be anyway.
I read things on this site that bother me all the time, and they keep making changes to the site that I don't agree with but we're apparently not allowed to say too much about it.
It's one of those "we're the bosses, so we can do what we want" and "certain people are friends of the bosses and can say what they want, but you can't. Unless you're a boss or a friend of the boss" type of thing.
Sorry, I went off a bit there.

Hmmm, you bring up a good point and it's one I'll have to really think about, but, in my experience, which is just me, myself and I, I completely hate violence and cruelty in life, but, I do enjoy it in my entertainment, meaning, I like to watch scary movies, I love the thrill of a cop chase movie, etc. but that's because, for me, that's a kind of release, to watch it and know it's fake, not like watching the news and hearing the real story just like it, in a movie it gets a bit desensitized because you know it's made up.
I'm not sure if that even makes any sense .

That makes a lot of sense.
But it's getting or has already gotten to the point where they make entertainment out of real life violence and other peoples' misery.
This is nothing new though. I have to admit. It goes back centuries

Yeah, I'm pretty much obsessed with our HDTV. Watching football on anything else is just no fun anymore.
Oh and I JUST got DVR and I'm already obsessed with it like nobodies business .

I keep thinking about getting one........but I am never home enough to justify the expense of buying one. I have a few friends that have them........guess I just need to invite myself over more to watch their's!!!

i'm not sure why you would choose to post this glaring statement in your journal entry unless you were trying to cause unrest - which is, conditionally, an admirable cause. I don't know... It just struck me as odd and intentionally confrontational.
