A Mother's Love
(A Mother's Day Poem)
You give birth to us through much pain and great (Joy!)
You Love us, you raise us
You care so much! for our well-being
You worry, you fear for us
You raise us to be independent of you
But whether we're 6 or 60
We're still your little boy or girl
And you never stop being a mother to us
If we need help, you are there for us
No matter your age or ours
You shed a million tears over us
That you wash away with a million smiles
And the Joy! that comes from being a mother:
Carrying us in your body
Then bringing us out of your body
Into the often cold, mean world
That you try so hard to buffer us from
But despite all the lessons you teach us
You know we have, eventually, to learn for ourselves
Through hard knocks
That you were right, after all!
Dear Mothers: I Love You
We all Love You
All your sons and daughters
For,literally, without You
There would be no us
No life, no pain, no joy
And: No glorious, wonderful
Golden, Priceless
Nothing in the universe as precious or miraculous as:
A Mother's Love
A Mother's Heavenly Love
Note: I just (a half hour ago) wrote this.
I hope you like it.
