Sun God
My Lord, the Sun
I worship You
You are the source of all Life on this Earth
You are the creator of the Earth itself
You give us warmth,You give us Light
And you could save this good Earth
And all life on it that
Was birthed in Your Womb
If we would be willing to spend the billions
That we spend fighting useless wars
Trying to kill each other off
And would kneel at Your altar
And suck all the Life
And energy that You give so freely and easily
From Your Myriad, Hot, Loving Bosoms
My God, I Love You:
My Sun, my Gorgeous, adorable Sun
I Love You
I Love You, my God
Note: I hope you like this. I know I can't solve the world's problems with my little poems. But this was inspired by the dire condition this planet and all life on it finds itself in with global warming. Ancient civilizations that worshipped the sun, I think, were not so far wrong.
