so i guess i hung up on ole dad when i called him for his birthday cause he said my invention was stupid. it's just that it all came back to me instantly.

when i was a kid learning to play the violin and he goes and sees my concert, and tells me i don't have a musical ear. i haven't played a violin since.

then when i was really proud of all the charcoal pics i was doing, and i showed them to him and he showed me these really boss portriats done of his parents, and tell me to talk to him when i can do stuff like that.

i didn't try art again for a long time after.

i'm just now starting to reconsider trying to talk my sister out of never speaking with him again.
