My last post was a lot of funn about things, so go read that one for funn.
I also had a good night last night; hadn't really gotten into the Jazz Jams at the pizza place lately, just too tired and the music only fair, so almost didn't go last night... but finally decided to, and MAN, they played great. I have to find out who the featured sax player was (as of yesterday, their site was un-updated), as he was great. He did "Four Winds," a song that at least pygmy will be familiar with, and John Sinclair did improv poetry over "Blue Monk"... I don't know how or why, but THE John Sinclair, of MC5/ Detroit fame, was there last night. Odd. Also, just a good night of playing- many good sax players (it's always best when a bunch of horns show up; I just prefer it to jazz-guitar), and Mike The Human Drum Machine was there for the first time in weeks, although pygmy's husband's sidekick Tim was on excellent drums too... I'm not exagerrating when I say Mike n Tim perhaps Best Drummers On The Planet... and that includes everybody alive...
Okay, so I did get in some comments about funn, so this isn't a total drag entry. Cool. I basically just came on to write that I think that the new idea of this friggin TV show Survivor, dividing up the casts/ competing groups by race, is one of the sickest, saddest, most profoundly setting-back-society-50-years ideas/ events I've seen in our lifetimes. I'm just very, VERY astonished and dismayed that this is what network TV has come to and will sink to. Jesus f-ing Christ.
Anyway, look at my funn times of Tuesday (above) and the weekend (last Blog) and Comment! Thanky!
