Homework time again!! =] @rambo @missy @lyxzen
Before I go into detail about this photo, I know about Cultural Appropriation!! If you're gonna hate on me for this photo, please move along!!
I copped a lot shit for posting this photo and the rest of this set on social media. For the the amount of hate I received, I took them down. I never knew that dressing up as an American Native Indian would have caused so much controversy. I know about Cultural Appropriation. The fact that I'm white, a female and have painted my face red is extremely offensive to the Indian Culture. This was not my intention. So if this offends anyone, I apologise.
There was 7 photos in total, but this one is my favourite. Ive never worked with animals before in a shoot, this was my first time. We had 5 huskies with us in the pine forest, but this one was the most relaxed. The others were so hyped about being out and about that they wouldn't sit still. We had to hold treats about the camera so that he would look in the direction of the camera and i had drool all over me!!
My photographer made my outfit which consisted of a chest plate with turquoise and red beads through it, and a fake fur skirt that had beads and other fur balls on it. I made leather straps that i tied around my legs and arms and I made feather hair jewellery that you can see more in the other photos.
Was an awesome day and the other photos to this set came out amazingly spectacular!! This is on elf my most favourite photos because I got to work with an amazing photographer called Luke Geoffrey. You should check out his Instagram page!! @opheliah has been lucky enough to work with this talented human as well. The huskies was an added bonus but mostly because I've never done anything like this before. The whole experience I hold very dearly. <3
Will be one of my favourites of all time <2
