It's amazing when you think about how the body works.
Ive been bombarded lately with different body parts. (thanks to Chalka studying for her nursing degree)
First the bonesI mean all the bones. Then the muscles. Then how they connect to the bones.
Now on to the brain.Fasten your seatbelts ladies and gentlemen. Im tellin yaits like Im in school or something. (Minus the frustration of actually having to go and perform.)
Its all good!!! My son is picking up on it like nothing you ever seen. (forgive the bad English)
Were beginning to think hes got a bit of a photographic memory. No, really!!!
Give you some examples.
First we get him a little computer game with all the planets, full of all kinds of interesting facts and stuff.
He memorized almost the whole thing before he got bored with it. He could tell you how many rings around Saturn, how far Jupiter is from the sun, how long it takes for the suns light to hit earth, and of course he can name all the planets in order starting with the sun.
Crazy I tell yaCrazy!!!
Then he started getting into the flags of the world. I loved this one. Great party tricks. (Its so cool when you can get your kids to perform when company comes over.) You can start with A and hell give you the name of the country that starts with that letter. Thats not all. He can give you multiple countries for each letter. And hell do it alphabetically on his own. We were printing him flags off the computer, and just by looking at them, he can tell you which one it is.
Now hes on to the states and their capitalsand hes learning all the bones and stuff from Chalka doing homework.
I think hes almost smarter then me. Did I mention hes only 6. Question is how to put it to good practical use and make it stick. All that head knowledge dont mean squat if you cant put it to use.
Please forgive me as I have digressed.
I started off this journal to talk about how amazing the body and mind is. How they work together through electrical impulses. Everything down to the sub-atomic level. Too crazy to comprehend.
Your mind controls everything!!! Listen carefully!!! YOUR MIND CONTROLS EVERYTHING!!!
Its interesting to watch the mind work and manifest thoughts into the physical.
Physical manifestations of the sub-conscious can be a scary thingor can be a great thing, depending on whats in there. Most of us have witnessed this at some point on some level.
Instead of me talking about this, lets make it interactive shall we?
Can you give me an example of when the mind has played a key role in making something come to pass?
This will not be graded, just interesting dialogue.
PS,
Im in the process as we speak of using my positive mental attitude to affect change in my job situation. (which I will tell you all about later) I can still use all your good thoughts my way.
