So I was nominated for this by @richsquared (crafty bastard...), so here y'all are! The questionnaire seems to be missing L and U, so if any of you want to add questions related to them for me, feel free!

Age: 42... though my face fools most people into thinking I'm far younger than I really am. I've typically looked about five years younger...

House Stark will be so happy. They've also breed mice with Mammoth hair

Pro: While I don't yet have a visible six-pack, the layer of body fat over my stomach is thin enough that I can see the creases my muscles are making under there. I know where they are, I know they exist, and I look forward to one day letting everyone see them.

Con: Without an appreciable amount of stomach fat, I can no longer sleep...

@alexislust  Oh don't worry, Arnold Schwarzenegger I will never be. We each have our own comfort levels with our bodies. I just so happen to feel happier and more confident with myself the stronger I get. Also... I wish I had thought of laying on a pillow last night... sleep addled brain I guess. I will probably be stealing the idea tonight 😁

You're welcome😎

All I want in life is to live quietly, away from everything and everyone, reading books, tending my garden, exercising, and having lots and lots and lots of sex.

I want everyone I care about, and everyone they care about, to be able to pursue their goals and quest for happiness in safety, and without fear, eventually each of them finding what brings them fulfillment....

Sadly, at this point in time, these are not realistic dreams. πŸ˜₯Β  But it's good to have such dreams and work towards them!Β  Maybe in a generation or two ... or three.... 🀞

🀣 so true

So I weighed myself yesterday, and in five weeks, I've lost 18lbs/8.16kg. All from cutting down on the excess snacking I'd gotten into the habit of doing at work, and watching my calories more closely. I'd say exercise was part of that, but it hasn't played a huge part except in the first half, as my girlfriend got sick for a few weeks, so I...

We took the Furry Fella to the park yesterday, to go exploring in the tall trees and trails.

While he wasn't especially pleased about being carried there through the neighborhood in his bubble carrier, he showed a lot more interest once we got there....

...if only begrudgingly.

Of course... he had to nom some grass. I expect him to barf soon at some point.

He looks like a Maine Coon Cat. They are a great breed.
chadiousxvi:
@ferkixlll Not a Maine Coon, though maybe he has a little in there. The vets have always figured he had some Persian in him due to his fur and face, and after recently stumbling across some pictures of an older, more "classic model" (pre-flat face) called a Brown Persian, I'm pretty sure he's mostly that. Does have the huge Maine Coon feet though, so who knows!πŸ˜„

Went to see The Magic Flute last night. It was my first time seeing and hearing it performed, and boy was it a unique experience!

The Magic Flute was written by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and apparently premiered only two months before he died at the young age of 35.

The Magic Flute has been adapted many times, in many different ways. This adaptation was inspired

Looks like an interesting staging. I'm starting to go back to the Sat. METHD in cinema again. Stopped because of COVID and then the cinemas that showed it near my were closed. Got to see their new staging of Aida, which was very good. As to the Flute. Still partial to Ingmar Bergman's movie version.
chadiousxvi:
@ferkixlll This is the only adaptation I've seen performed, at least in full, though I'm certainly curious now to see the versions that proceeded it. There was a Q&A with some of the cast afterwards, and the different directions they talked about, as to what the story allows in terms of visual performance, was certainly fascinating to imagine.

So last night, while preparing for the opera, I put on a pair of dress pants I'd grabbed randomly from my upstairs closet, and after putting them on, found they were a pair that haven't fit me since I was in my late twenties. I only realized it when I put my hands in the pockets and found the old tags from long ago still...
