Today I was thinking about an experience I had this summer that really altered my perception of some things.
I bellydance. I love it. In June I went to Asian Moon Festival on the Milwaukee Lakefront and saw Barika Bellydance perform with some of their students. Barika is an awesome tribal bellydance group, and the ladies in it are beautiful. A good number of the women in Barika are not what you would call model thin. But they are beautiful nonetheless.
As I'm sure you know, bellydance is full of a lot of beautiful sensual moves. The women with the curves looked amazing doing these moves...they flowed, they shimmied, the just plain looked beautiful. The thinner women...well, not so much. Their moves were not as graceful, not as sexual.
I don't know where I'm going with this. I was just thinking today that it really changed my perception of beauty. Beauty isn't what the flesh looks like, but it's something much more than that.
Anyway. That was deeper than I intended. Um, la la la poop damn hell chicken chicken butt. There. Back to my immature self.
Night everyone.

No need for misgivings about getting "deep" as far as I'm concerened.
I'd love to go to Tokyo someday.
