Ignore everything I said in my last post. I'm back, because my ethical scruples can be bought off with the promise of a year of interesting naked women for twenty quid.
A bits changed in the months since.
I am now completely convinced that I hate my course and have no intention of working in engineering apart from as a source of funds to study astronomy. Im looking at picking it up either part time at Queen Mary of London, distance learning from the university of central lancashire or through the open university.
I am still an insomniac. Forty hour days are not as commonplace as they were, but they still happen sometimes in spite of medication. Thanks to said medication (and also because I turn into a real asshole when I drink a lot) I have been sober since the middle of february; so now when I'm an asshole you know its because I mean it instead of being intoxicated.
Currently Im back in london, taking an easy few days before caning the library hard for the last stretch of the engineering degree. I really couldnt give a shit about it though, Id just like some kind of mid-level qualification (ordinary degree or HND) to try and justify the umpteen thousand pounds of student loan debt ive racked up over the last four years there. Today I took in the greenwich observatory, again (since ive already in previous posts waxed lyrical about how geekily awesome it is), and met some amateur astronomy royalty; Greg Smye-Rumsby, the guy who does all the technical illustrations for Astronomy Now magazine. Nice guy. Great beard.
Thats about it.

Long time no see.
Your comment on oil flow was interesting and more informative than the only other one I saw. Here in the comments.
