Wow, I updated two days in a row... this has only happened once before in all of my SG history (all one month).
So today I picked up bass guitar, mostly because I terribly needed something new in my life, so I chose bass guitar. Why bass? Well, I *really* want to learn drums, but with the size of my dorm and the amount of noise drums make, that was just inpractical. Not regular guitar, either, because everyone plays that
I've found out that bass is actually a lot easier than regular guitar, so I can use bass as a stepping-stone to the regular guitar later on in my musical life, so that's cool, too.
I've played almost 4 hours total today, and it's just eating away at my fingers, but it's okay, my fingers need 'em Right now, I've got the beginning to Aerials (by SOAD) down, and the beginning of Schism by Tool kinda-sorta down (I can't play it fast, my fingers can't move fast enough... yet).
I get all of today and tomorrow to relax (well, I have a midterm tomorrow, but I think I'm ready for it), and then I'll probably have to kick it back into high gear afterwards... so I better make good use of these next two days
