so, I'm going to be in Ann Arbor the 12th, and Detroit the 13th and 14th of May. Although I really do not know much about comics, or star wars, I have always wanted to go to a sci-fi convention.. of some sort. Fortunately, comic con is totally happening. So I'm going. And I'm real excited cause I think it will be really cool. Time to start reading graphic novels...I think I'll start with Serenity cause Firefly is awesome and so is the movie. Anyone else have good nerdy recommendations for me? I'd be interested in knowing. oh! I went to the beach today. It was 65 today and so nice! I'm glad I got to watch a perfect sunset for the first time this year in March!

There are a ton of great graphic novels out there, and there are vast differences between them. If you like mystical stuff, I highly suggest Hellboy and Hellblazer. I highly recommend Scud the disposable assassin to everyone, its got a great mixture of humor and serious story lines and you can grab the complete works in one book. My last suggestion would have to Transmetropolitan. It's a fantastic read, and when I was going through it, I could not put it down, and had to race out to get the next book once I finished. I know everyone will tell you watchmen, and quite frankly, they are right, it is a very good read with great character development and storytelling. You really can't go wrong with Alan Moore books. I hope I was helpful
