Long randomness post! I feel like talking and nobody I particularly feel able to rant at is online. Beware: I think it's getting late enough that the majority of this will be me complaining
Today I decided to be foolish and spend the majority of my paycheck I just deposited last night on getting my legs and bikini line waxed. I hadn't shaved in way too long to do so without destroying a razor, and I've never had my pubic area waxed, so I decided randomly that it was a good idea for the day.
My esthetician was awesome to talk to and made me feel very comfortable. The bikini line was just as painful as I expected it to be. Unfortunately, I noticed once I got home and took a closer look at my legs that she'd missed almost all the hair on my knees (ew). Ah well. My legs are mostly nice and smooth anyway. She did give me about 10 free samples of stuff, though, so that's kind of cool.
I am kind of sad that I went through that this afternoon and mr_dave's really not going to get the full benefit of it, though (nor anyone else, for that matter). If I'd realised he was going to Sherwood Park instead of staying home, I'd've stayed at the Volunteer Appreciation Party longer, as well. Sigh. So my evening pretty much went exactly the opposite from what I planned, and I've spent the last two hours sitting online doing nothing interesting.
This has been rather foolish of me, since half the reason I left the party early was ostensibly so that I could go to bed early and be up and perky in the morning for Safewalk traning, as I'm on the advisory team and thus one of the ones actually doing the training. I have to be back on campus at 8.30 and the quickest route there from my house is closed as of 5.30. Then I'm leaving in the middle of it so I can go to choir, then I'm coming back. At 5 I work. As soon as work's done at 9, I'm headed to a friend's house to play an RPG called Deadlands. Then on Sunday I get to get up and go back to campus for 8.30 again.
I'm really not looking at this weekend as a weekend, so much as a change of busy-ness.
The happy ending to this post is this: Dave's swinging by on his way home from the Park to smooch me

I cannot believe I am typing this in a public forum. I might as well have the word 'geek' tatooed on my forehead.
Well, at least you will be right there with me...
you ARE coming to new years.
