So, I've been thinking about a tattoo for a couple of years now. I just put a whole bunch of idea-pictures into a folder in my pics, so if you'd like to look at them, that'd be great. I especially like the two that are drawings; if I could get that artist to design my tattoo I'd be in heaven. His style is exactly what I've looked for.

The second tattoo I want is one of a line from the song "Lovers in a Dangerous Time", which has the dual benefits of being a song Barenaked Ladies, my favourite band, sing, and is a very me-like attitude:

(you gotta) kick at the darkness 'til it bleeds daylight

I haven't decided on whether to keep the you gotta or not, thus the brackets. I'm thinking probably some kind of cursive-type writing, though I want it to be fairly loose (as in, not rigid like a lot of cursive is) but still feminine, without being girly. Hmmm.

Now, in hunting aboot for ideas on placement this evening, it occurred to me (again) that I could get it put in the place where I've planned to have the folder one put.

I've been attached to the idea of the first one for much longer, and I really don't think it'd go well anywhere else the way I've conceived of it, but my conception of it is far too vague to be able to go out and get it tomorrow, anyway. It would probably be better if I had any head for art, which I don't.

And now I should go to bed before I make too many more silly typos.

ETA: I added another to the folder, and I invite everyone to look at the one quasievil made me, because it's amazing and exactly the concept.

I wonder if your hesitation in getting a tattoo is related to the fact that none of these tats really say anything about you. My view is that tats should be as personal as you can make them, while still giving the artist a measure of freedom.
