25/05/05 Update: Yikes have been hobbling all day with very swollen ankle, which I landed on funny coming down stairs of Komedia. I screamed the foyer down (v embarrassed about that now) and made them call me a cab...Ice and elevation planned for it this evening, still hoping to make it out tomorrow though, boo...

Wow! What a night... The 'pinups unpinned' was composed of two main acts: a jazz trio called Drei - three drop-dead girls in lovely outfits playing lounge standards such as Fever, Perhaps etc, and a great burlesque troupe, Grrrrlesque, 6 beautiful girls who performed 3 brilliant and sexy set-pieces: housewives (with kimonos & marigold gloves, pretending to swig from the liquor cabinet!) city gents (on a tube train, disrobing from 3-piece suits with moustaches) and home baking (with aprons, twirling tarts with tassels and with one stunning girl completing a pyramid of home bakers) . Additional entertainments, were two girls having a strip-dance-off to Michael Jackson and a doll girl growing a 3rd arm while playing with her victorian birdcage. Absolutely cool, I whistled my way through it, had a great time, got some great ideas and met a fellow SG member who wished me luck for the Cheltenham SG Burlesque auditions.. Cheers, mate... you know who you are....
