Hooray and boo! I'm naturally excited and hopeful about the election, but I am very very disappointed about the marriage ban in California. You guys redefined marriage to be between a man and a woman, and made love irrelevant to the equation. Good job! I'm sure with a little more work you can make interracial marriages illegal too.
Question... what about intersexed people? Born with genitalia and hormones that can't be easily defined as male or female? Can they marry at all? Also, do we want the state to start pulling down everyone's pants to verify their plumbing before they can tie the knot?

Prop 8 passing made the baby Jesus cry...

The anti prop 8 campaign was poorly managed and now the backlash is actually looking like its causing a solidification among those in favor. I remember the infamous row between South Boston's St. Patricks Day parade and the gay community as being one of the stupidest and saddest conflicts ever, mostly because both sides took such stupid positions and made offensive stands. I expected that kind of crap from the Southie jerks but the gay community needed to be smarter than that. If the same happens here it will be a long setback indeed.
