We were actually discussing that we were going to go to the Pony for the next outing because of the very reason that the ladiess there know that they are strippers while the dancers at the Cheetah seemed to think that they were lingerie models. Imagine, if you will. A barren piece of desert two hours from Reno, and an hour from running water and electricity. 51 weeks out of the year, population zero. But during the 52nd week, it becomes one of the largest cities in Nevada, with more lights than Las Vegas. Everyone brings everthing in, and then takes it out with them. 2 1/2 miles across, and some of the best clubs I've ever been to exist only there.
About 2 miles from the city center, an elaborate temple is built. This year's was called the Temple Of Dreams. On Wednesday night in the middle of the week, we sailed our giant silver space pirate ship to the temple, dropped a monstrous sound system on the ground and transformed the Temple Of Dreams into the Temple Of Breaks. Amazing music and dancing all night long, we attracted 500 or so people at its peak. I wish I could even begin to describe how amazing it felt to have it all come together.
As for the interesting names, yeah there's quite a range of nicknames and monikers in play. I tried writing out a list once and about halfway down the page looked back and realized it looked like I'd had a stroke and couldn't remember english anymore... Ooah, Patricio, Oscure, Azmyth, Trilo, Mozaic, Rab, El Papa Chango.... lol
