I haven't even shot my first set yet, but this is what I've been doing to prepare for my initial photoshoot:
1) study, study, study!
Consider your favorite SG photos, and think what makes them so appealing to you. Is it the posing, lighting, facial expressions? Also be sure to note what turns you off in a set.
Since the Member Review queue is so long these days, it may be tempting to haul ass in getting something sent in. But really prepare yourself and make a gameplan; there's no point in turning in a rushed, subpar set.
4) Have a blast! Just be yourself and let your natural self shine through.
