2. You shoot a set and submit it to our member review section and get a free year membership to the site. A set is 40-60 photos that starts fully clothed and ends fully nude, but no graphic shots or penetration.

3. Members comment and "like" the photos and sets that do really well we put up as the "Set of the Day" on the front page.

4. If your set is accepted as the "Set of the Day", you become a SuicideGirl. We pay $500 for each set of the day that we buy.

Whoever shoots your set should fill out the photographer release. Even if your friend shoots your set, they still need to fill it out before we can put your photos on our site.

You should have whoever shoots your set fill out this form when you shoot your set. If they have questions about how to fill it out or what it means, they should email photographycoordinator@suicidegirls.com.

Do not fill this form out yourself! This form is for your photographer to fill out.

HOW TO GET YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER RELEASE TO US:
After your photographer has filled out your form BY HAND, you should either scan it or take a good, clear photo of it and upload it to your model application where it says "WE NEED YOUR PHOTO RELEASE."

A "set" is a series of 40-60 pictures of you, starting fully clothed and ending fully nude. A set should be taken in one session with the same outfit, theme and setting.

By the end of the set, you must be fully nude, no exceptions. Think more tasteful nudity, nothing suggestive and we don't accept spread shots.

Here are 9 different examples of sets. Click on the preview photo to see the entire set. This should give you a good idea of what kind of quality we are looking for.





You must be 18 years of age or older at the time of the photoshoot, please keep this in mind if you have just recently turned 18. NO EXCEPTIONS, EVER.

We don't expect SuicideGirls to be professional models, and we love the "girl next door" vibe in a set. However, we want you to look your best in every picture, so we have put together this guide to help you out shooting your set. Have this page up before you shoot and while you are shooting - there are lots of good examples in the next sections that will break down exactly How to Look Good in Photos Without (looking like you are) Really Trying.

HOW TO GIVE GOOD FACE:
Before you shoot your set, you should practice making faces in the mirror. Make happy faces, sad faces, sexy faces, angry faces, mysterious faces, all of them! See what looks interesting and works with your face. Scrunch up your face really tight, then relax everything. When your face is relaxed, your lips will naturally part a little bit in the middle, which is super sexy... way better than pursing your lips. Whoever decided that "duck face" is sexy is wrong, definitely do not do this. Practice smiling with your eyes - Tyra Banks likes to call this a SMIZE, and it makes you look fierce and you should definitely learn it.

Have you ever seen America's Next Top Model? You can watch pretty much all of every episode on YouTube here- it's an incredible reference for learning how to look good in photos.

HOW TO POSE:
Posing is the hardest thing about shooting a set that is interesting to look at and captivates the viewer - just standing there won't do the trick. Just like facial expressions, practice posing in front of a mirror! Try poses standing up, sitting down, laying down, kneeling. Practice holding things in your hands, practice holding nothing and where you will put your hands - on your hips, on your shoulders, playing with your hair. What are you doing with your feet? Try everything and see what it looks like.

Try to have at least one piece of furniture at your location, especially if you have never modeled before. Having a chair, a bed, a railing on a staircase, a table, a ladder or any other item will give you a lot more options for a variety of poses. Sit, stand, kneel, climb, drape yourself off of it, whatever feels natural. Interact with it - take something out of a dresser drawer, reach up for a book on a bookshelf, bend down to turn the channel on the TV on the floor, lean over the couch to answer the phone - be creative!
Here are some super useful tips for posing that even Tyra herself would approve of:

DO keep it classy. Yes you must be nude, but we discourage spread shots, and definitely no penetration for any reason ever, do not even think about it.
DO create curves. Instead of standing straight up, move your body into an S shape. Your body will look the best and the resulting photo will be visually appealing when you maximize your natural curves.
DO make eye contact. The sexiest sets are when the viewer feels like they are right there in the room with you. You don't have to stare down the camera in every photo, but direct eye contact in at least a few shots create the most intimate vibe.
DO request to have your favorite music playing when you do a shoot! The beat will kick your poses up 10 notches and make you feel way more comfortable.
DO NOT lose your neck!! Try to elongate your neck, it makes you look taller and leaner.
DO NOT be a limp noodle. Always pose with tension in your body, from head to toe.
DO NOT just stand there. Boresville. Mix it up with innovative poses!
DO NOT slouch! Arch your back or at the very least, stand up straight.
DO NOT be comfortable. If you are comfortable, it doesn't look good on camera. Your entire body should be tense head to toe - if you're doing it right, you'll be sore the next day.
DO NOT be forgettable. Make an impression by showing your distinctive personality.

Here are 30 of our favorite poses from sets on SuicideGirls.com. Pull up these photos when you shoot your set and try to recreate the poses - many of these are tried and true and work for pretty much every body type.

Your wardrobe should express who you are. Dress how YOU feel sexiest! Casual and classy never go out of style, so try to pick outfits that are casual but cute, or a little sexier but still classy.

Casual wardrobe includes: cotton t-shirts/tanks, denim shorts, sundresses, tall socks, cotton panties, track shorts, blue jeans, cardigan sweaters, chuck taylors, etc.

Classy wardrobe includes: nice lingerie (lacy, satin, sheer, etc), bodysuits/one pieces, tights, thigh highs, garter belts & garters, sexy shoes (vintage, stilettos, boots), corsets, etc.

Have fun with your wardrobe choices! Its entirely up to you and a representation of you. Now, there are a few wardrobe items we ask models to stay away from:

- Stripper heels and stripper attire (neon colored fishnets, anything crotchless, metallic/sparkly two piece sets, etc). Although they might look hot on stage, it doesn't transfer well in photos. If you wear stripper shoes in your set we will ask you to shoot again without them, so please do not even put them on your feet.
- Top hats. These are for Abraham Lincoln and that is it.
- Angel or fairy wings. No.
- Old timey burlesque apparel - Bettie Page was certainly an inspiration, but your set should be a modern take on how you feel the most beautiful, not an ode to ye olde days of yore.

We favor light makeup and hair. We want to see YOU and appreciate your natural beauty!

HAIR: Please wash and lightly style your hair for your shoot. You do not need to have a stylist come to your shoot - you wear your hair every day, so you know how to style it best! Simple hairstyles work the best on camera, but always try a couple test shots with your photographer before you get into the set. If you wear your hair down, make sure that it's not obscuring your face. If you wear it up in a ponytail or in braids or a half ponytail, make sure it's not pulled too tightly. Your hair should look touchable, and be recognizable as hair, not a helmet of hairspray. Think about how you'd wear your hair on a first date - do that.

Please do not wear a wig. If you think you can wear a wig and we won't be able to tell, you are wrong. When there is no visible part in your hair, when your hair is unnaturally shiny, when it is perfectly styled with no hair out of place, trust that we know and just don't do it. If you normally wear wigs due to a health condition, e-mail the model coordinator prior to submitting the set: modelcoordinator@suicidegirls.com

MAKEUP: The most universally flattering look is a little face powder on any shiny areas, a little blush on your cheeks, a thin line of black liquid eyeliner on your eyelids (top only), and mascara. Apply your makeup as you wish, we just ask that you keep it somewhat minimal - really just a little face powder, mascara, and blush would do the trick. If you normally draw on your eyebrows, we find that it looks best when they look like natural brows as opposed to super thin, super arched drawn on ones.

We understand that sometimes a little smoky eye or a red lip can essential to the theme, especially if you are emulating a character, but all over caked on makeup and drawn on eyebrows is pretty much never necessary. Here are a few instances of too much makeup:

The location you choose can be simple or visually intriguing - just make sure it isn't cluttered! There is nothing worse than seeing a gorgeous girl posing in a untidy bedroom, surround by piles of clothes and bags/books/what have you.

Sometimes you have to put a little work in to find a great location. If you don't have a cool room in your house, maybe a friend does! You can even ask local boutiques, coffee shops, bars, etc. if they would allow you to shoot in their space. The only place that we ask that you DO NOT shoot is in a studio, in front of a plain backdrop - you are much more interesting than that! We will not accept any sets shot in front of a plain studio backdrop. Lose the backdrop and try a different area of the studio, now you're onto something.

If you don't have access to a really great location, that's okay too! Some of our favorite sets are shot on a bed with crisp white sheets, or in an empty room.

Set themes are fun and add a narrative quality to your set. Themes can be simple - focusing on one of your interests, hobbies, or even your favorite shirt. They can also be complex and tell a story, or pay homage to a favorite movie, book, character, etc.

MEMBER REVIEW
Almost all of the sets on SuicideGirls go through the member review process. Here is how it works:

1. Your set will be reviewed by the model coordinator first to make sure it meets our minimum photography requirements.

2. If your set is approved, it is then added to a the Member Review Queue and your one year member account will be set up. The "queue" is all the sets waiting in line to be posted into the member review section - we space out the sets so that each set gets equal time and attention on the front page of the site and that 50 sets aren't posted at once.

At this point in the process, you are a "Hopeful" because you would "hopefully" like to become a SuicideGirl. You are considered a "Hopeful" until your set goes up as the "Set of the Day."

3. Once your set is available for members to see, they can comment on it and "like" your set. If a set gets really great feedback from our members and we think that it is one of the best of all the sets submitted, we may put it up as the "Set of the Day."

4. If your set is accepted as the "Set of the Day", you will become a SuicideGirl. We pay $500 for each set that you have go up as the "Set of the Day."

5. Your set will stay up in our member review section for at least 90 days from the date that it is available for members to comment on it. After 90 days, you may leave the set up or choose to remove it. As long as your set is in member review, it is eligible to be selected as the "Set of the Day."

STAFF REVIEW
A very small percentage of sets on SuicideGirls go through staff review. Those sets are usually for specific holidays and should be submitted at least one month to six weeks before the intended holiday. It is very rare for a set to be accepted this way and not pass through the member review section. Here is how it works:

1. Your set will be reviewed by the model coordinator first to make sure it meets our minimum photography requirements.

2. If your set meets our minimum photography requirements, it will be considered by our staff members to be accepted as the "Set of the Day."

3. If your set is accepted as the "Set of the Day", you will become a SuicideGirl. We pay $500 for each set that you have go up as the "Set of the Day."

4. If your set is not accepted as the "Set of the Day", you will have the option to submit the set again for member review.

IF YOUR SET HAS NOT BEEN PHOTOSHOPPED:
Your set will be posted in Member Review EXACTLY how you send it to us. We will not delete any photos, so only send pictures that you like.

Most sets are sent to us without any photoshop. We will NOT photoshop your pictures before they are posted to member review. We WILL photoshop your pictures if your set is accepted as the Set of the Day.

1. Log into your model page here:

Click on the "MANAGE SETS" tab, then click on the icon to open the Photo Wizard.

2. The uploader will ask you if you are a member:
-If you have only applied to model and do not have a member page, you should say NO. For member name you should put in what you want your SG name to be. If it says the name is taken, you can add an underscore _ and we will do our best to give you that name if you become a SuicideGirl.
-If you already have a member account on the site, you should say YES and enter your member name and your member password.

3. The uploader will ask you for a set name and intro:
-A set name should be short & sweet. Think of an adjective that describes your set, or a song title, or even a prevalent color in the set. Try to be more original than "MY FIRST SET."

4. Upload the pictures:
You need to send us AT LEAST 40 pictures and no more than 60 pictures. Our uploader is pretty picky, so please make sure your pictures are the right size before you upload them.

Each image must be:
- 2400 pixels on the longest side
- Under 1mb (each)
- A .jpg file (NOT a .jpeg, .JPG or any other file type)

And if you are sending a set in a .zip file, the whole file must be smaller than 100mb.

You (or your photographer) should resize your images to 2400 pixels on the longest side. If they are still bigger than 1mb each, you should adjust the quality until they are under 1mb - you can do this by changing image to 72 dpi and adjusting the quality to high or medium high.

If these are the original photos and they are smaller than 1600 px on the longest side, unfortunately the photo quality might not be good enough for us to use and you'll need to try a new set with a better camera!

If the uploader quits on you, just try again, we will remove any sets from the system that did not finish uploading all the way. It's okay if takes you a few times.

IF YOUR SET HAS BEEN PHOTOSHOPPED:
If you worked with a photographer and they photoshopped your set exactly like we ask in our Photoshop FAQ, you or your photographer should email the set.

You should be sending the set to modelcoordinator@suicidegirls.com. Please include the following in the body of the email:

*Model's email address and member or SG name
*Photographer's email address and member name
*Set name
*Whether you want the set for member review, staff review or both
*A link to download the prepped set

SOME THINGS TO KNOW:

*You can use yousendit.com, wetransfer.com, dropbox.com or your own website to send me the set.

*The set MUST be under 100mb. If there are 40-60 images in a set and they are all around 1mb in size, this should be no problem.

*Your set must be prepped correctly or I will send it back and ask you to do it again. Please double check your files! Also double check that your thumbnails match the large images, this is something I CANNOT FIX even if the set is accepted for set of the day.

*You must have applied to model for SG and have all paperwork on file before I can upload a set. The uploader is very picky and will not accept a set if the model does not have two forms of ID and a model release.

You should get an email letting you know about your submitted set within about one week.

You must have all the required paperwork on file for us to review your set. If you have not heard back and it has been longer than two weeks, please check your email - we have likely been blowing you up trying to get all your paperwork on file.

When your set is approved for Member Review, it will not be posted right away. We space out all the sets evenly so that each set gets equal time on the front page of our site as a featured set in Member Review.

To find out when your set will post, go to your member page, click on the PICS tab at the top. Then you'll see your set and it will say, "Members can't see this set until ______."

You get paid when your set goes up on the front page of SuicideGirls as the "Set of the Day."

You should expect to receive payment within 5 weeks from the date the set is featured on the front page. We pay $500 USD for each set posted as "Set of the Day".

You may not remove the set or any photos from sets in Member Review until they have been up for 90 days. Please only submit images you want used on the site, as it is technically impossible to delete images before the set has been in member review for 90 days.

This includes sets in the member review queue - we cannot remove sets until they have been in member review for 90 days, please do not email us asking to remove a set from the queue, it is technically impossible.

Here is the criteria we use:

Ratio of Loved It to Not For Me
Ratio of # comments to time in member review
Diversity of commenters
Quality and length of comments
Feedback from the SG Photographers
Model activity on the site (blogs, comments, groups, etc.)

We don't just pick the sets with the highest number of comments, although often the sets with the highest number of comments are chosen because a high comment count often goes hand in hand with doing well in other criteria. Any set in member review is eligible to be the Set of the Day, just because your set does not go up on the front page right away does not mean that you should lose all hope, we have been known to buy sets that have been in member review for several months to a year.

The number of sets a girl has in Member Review can sometimes affect whether or not we buy a set. If a girl has multiple sets in Member Review, we will not always pick the set that has the most comments - we'll choose the set that we think is the best reflection of the girl.

Once you have a set in the Member Review queue, you are considered a "Hopeful" because you will "hopefully" become a SuicideGirl. You are considered a "Hopeful" until you have a set accepted as the "Set of the Day."

You will receive one free year for each set you send us. If you become a SuicideGirl, you will have a free, lifetime account.

You know how when you like something on Facebook and then posts from like, Oreo cookies show up in your feed every 5 minutes and then you don't like Oreo cookies anymore because you're sick of being told how good they are? Think of your set like Oreo cookies - don't message everyone or comment everywhere with a link to your set asking people to give you love, they'll just get annoyed and not want to comment.

To get noticed in a positive way, become an active member of the site and make friends! Upload a profile picture, post in your blog, join some groups.

When your set is posted for review and members can comment on it, you should post about it in the SG Hopefuls group and in your blog. Please only post a link to your set in those two places.

Click MY SG at the top of the page, and then click "Profile" under Manage My Stuff. You can upload up to three pictures to show up on your profile, and the first one will be the one that shows up when you post to the boards and in groups.

After you upload a new picture, it can take some time to change on the site, so don't freak out if it doesn't change right away. If it hasn't changed after 24 hours, then your picture was probably not sized correctly so you should check the dimensions and make sure it is 235 x 175 pixels.

Your profile picture can be of anything you want. If you become an SG, then you will need to follow the guidelines for SuicideGirl profile pictures, but you can use whatever you like for your profile picture while you are a Hopeful.

You can change your name at any point while you are a hopeful. The name you choose should be your first choice for your SuicideGirl name - if your set is accepted, this is the name we will give you.

Go to your main profile page. In the upper right-hand corner of your profile blurb there is a button that says 'EDIT' - click on it to change your alias and profile layout. If the name you want is taken, try a different spelling or add an underscore and if your set is accepted, we'll drop the underscore when you become an SG.

Anyone who wants to be a SuicideGirl is considered a Hopeful, but you must have a set in Member Review to get the Hopeful tag on your profile.

To remove the Hopeful tag, go to your Settings page - the option to turn it off will be near the bottom of the "Change Your Site Settings" list. If you do not see the "Remove Hopeful status" checkbox then you do not have the Hopeful status.

PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU REMOVE YOUR HOPEFUL TAG THERE IS NO WAY TO PUT IT BACK ON YOUR PROFILE SO BE ABSOLUTELY SURE YOU WANT TO REMOVE IT BEFORE DOING SO.

IF YOU HAVE A PROFILE ON THE SITE AND HAVE A SET IN MEMBER REVIEW::
You can go in to your Settings page and click "I want to be anonymous" - this way, anyone who goes to your page will not be able to see your profile, your pictures, or anything about you, it will just redirect them back to the main page.

To remove your sets, click on the set to view it - in the upper right corner, you'll see a big green button that says "EDIT" - when you click the link, you will have the option to delete as long as the set has been up for more than 90 days.

IF YOU HAVE APPLIED AND NOT SENT US A SET:
If you are not interested in being a SuicideGirl anymore and have not sent us your set yet, you do not have to complete the application process. We will keep your information on file if you should change your mind, but we will not contact you for anything. Any information you submit is completely confidential.

No. You may ask for your profile and pictures to be archived at any time, which removes them from high traffic areas of the site, but they will remain accessible to members. If you are frightened of someone finding out, please do not apply to be a SuicideGirl. It's hard to undo being naked on the internet.

It might. Some SuicideGirls have told us they get recognized and approached in public quite often, others never have. If you cherish your privacy this is probably not the best place for you to model.

If you want a new profile picture, you will need to upload one for approval - neither Missy or Rigel can change your picture for you, so please do not e-mail them about it. If you need help making a new profile picture, please see this thread in the SuicideGirls group - there are tons of girls who can help you crop and resize your pictures.

HOW TO:
To upload a new profile picture, click MY SG at the top of the page, and then click "Profile" under Manage My Stuff. You can upload up to three pictures - the second and third photos may be whatever you like, but the first one must be approved by Missy. When you upload a photo as your primary photo, the page will refresh but you will still see your old photo. Missy will review your new picture, and if she likes it, it will change. Missy only approves profile pictures every couple months, so it may be a while before yours shows up. Also, profile pictures are approved in batches, so if you notice a lot of girls with new pictures and yours did not change, your picture was probably not approved.

Your picture must be 235 pixels wide by 175 pixels tall. Crop the picture so that we can clearly see your face - usually head and shoulders in the picture looks the best, and no boobs please. Try to pick a flattering picture - this picture will be what people see when you post. Your picture does not have to be from a set, and you may upload a photo from an upcoming set if you'd like.

A list of things we will not approve in profile pictures:
*Poor photo quality
*Too far away
*Too close up (try to keep it head and shoulders, please!)
*Too blurry
*Squished or otherwise distorted photos
*Pictures where we cannot see your face (this includes sunglasses!)
*Black and white or strange photoshop filters
*Pictures with anyone else but you
*Boobies - please keep your profile picture PG!
*Upside down photos

Your main picture will not change right away - Missy needs to approve it first. You will not be notified if your picture is approved or rejected, so please do not e-mail Missy or Rambo about it - I promise Missy will get to it when she has time. There is a hot new profile pictures thread on the boards and the profile pic thread in the SG group that are usually updated when girls have new profile pictures. If your picture was not approved you should try uploading a new one.

It is extremely important that any time you change your mailing address, phone number, or e-mail address to please update it on your Model page- otherwise there may be problems sending your check, or you may miss out on a really cool opportunity in your area!

When you log-in here, you can click "edit" and update your contact info. Please fill it out as much as you can - the more info we have the better! Make sure you put your REAL NAME down, that is who the check will be made out to so please don't put a fake name.

We will not e-mail you to confirm your address before we send your check, so please make sure everything is current so we can get it right the first time! If your check is sent to the wrong address, it will be mailed back to us and we will have to charge a fee to reissue a check, so please make sure you update your address!

You are welcome to sell prints, artwork, crafts, jewelry, or any other items you make and post about it in your blog and on the groups. However, you may not outright ask for money or paypal donations or constantly beg for presents.

You may NOT, under any circumstances, "trade" dirty pictures or videos for wishlist items. Dimples trades signed prints from SG sets for wishlist items and that is fine, however you may not offer personalized graphic photos or videos in exchange for money or presents. There are tons of other places on the internet where you can do that, but SuicideGirls is not one of them.

If you no longer want to be a SuicideGirl, you should email missy@suicidegirls.com and let her know why you would like to be archived. PLEASE DELETE ANY MEMBER REVIEW, PERSONAL & ATTACHMENT ALBUMS YOU WANT REMOVED BEFORE REQUESTING TO BE ARCHIVED! SG cannot remove any albums from your page after your profile has been archived. If you choose to be archived, any purchased sets or Member Review sets you do not delete will remain public but your blogs and profile would be private. Your profile will be moved to the archive, a far less trafficked area of the site.

ANY IMAGES YOU SOLD US WILL REMAIN UP ON THE SITE - we will not remove your profile or any sets that have been accepted as the "Set of the Day" for any reason. You cannot buy sets back. It has never been our policy to remove any sets or profiles.

We post about all big parties, events and casting opportunities in the SuicideGirls group. All SuicideGirls are automatically added to this group when your first set is accepted as the "Set of the Day".

To find out about conventions, you should join the SuicideGirls only Conventions group.

You should also join your regional group and check out events in your area. You can find your regional group by clicking LOCAL at the top of the page. Events in your area will be posted in your regional groups, and you can even start your own event.

You can choose to attend any events you like, however SG will not pay for any travel or accommodations unless specifically noted, and you are not required to attend any events if you choose not to.

If you choose to go to an unofficial member-organized hook-up in your area, you must be responsible for your own safety, and should bring a friend you trust with you. You are not required to participate in SG events and can choose to be unavailable if you wish.

You can e-mail any of them in your area that you would like to work with, and they can let you know if they are able to set something up with you.

If there is one in your city, they should appear on your model page on the right side under "Looking for a Photographer?". If it's blank, it probably means we don't have a staff photographer close to you - we are always looking for photographers, but we might not have one in your area at this time.

Most girls will not have access to a professional photographer - that's okay, we don't expect you to! Here are some options for finding someone to shoot your set:

1. Have a friend shoot your set. As long as you have a halfway decent camera and you and your friend do some research, like checking out the sets on the front page all the model and photographer guides, you should have a good idea of what a set should look like. Other than that, the most important piece of advice we can give you is shoot with natural daylight!!! The quality you get from daylight is so crisp and the light is so even, it makes a huge difference in the quality of photos rather than shooting with any other kind of light. It is the most fail proof way to get good quality images with any camera.

We made those guides specifically for girls who cannot shoot with a staff photographer who understands what SG is looking for. They're loaded with example photos that should help anyone you're shooting with shoot a good set.

2. If you are a member of the site, you should try the Photographer Hopefuls Group. There are lots of photographers who are not yet official staff photographers but have shot a few sets and are knowledgable about what SG is looking for.

3. You can try looking for a professional photographer on Facebook, Model Mayhem, or any other site. You can have them email photographycoordinator@suicidegirls.com to receive the proper paperwork and details about shooting for us.

If the set is accepted as the "Set of the Day", your photographer can be paid $200 as long as they send us the correct paperwork and hi res images. They should email photographycoordinator@suicidegirls.com and we can let them know exactly what they need to send us in order to be paid.

If your set has been accepted for member review, we can give them a free three month membership to the site. They should email photographycoordinator@suicidegirls.com once the set has been accepted to redeem it.

Here are some very simple, common sense things that you should all do to ensure your safety and comfort when working with new photographers.

1. Check references, and portfolio. If you do not like someones work or can not find any references for them, work with someone else. If you are getting a bad vibe, do not shoot with them.

2. Have an initial meeting in a public place. This way you can figure out if this person is going to creep you out, or if you will feel comfortable taking your clothes off in front of them. If you get a weird feeling, do not shoot with them. If you are not comfortable with a photographer you will not look comfortable in your set and it will not come out well and will probably not be accepted no matter how talented the photographer is with the camera.

3. Bring a friend to your shoot. Safety first. If your photographer will not let you bring a friend, don't shoot with them. Even if the person sits in the other room it is better to have someone that you know and trust around just in case.

4. Any asshat with a camera can claim to be a nude photographer, so double-check their model references and always trust your gut. We get so many creepy people applying to be official SG photographers everyday it boggles the mind. Everything from photographers claiming that a sexual relationship allows them to take better pics to guys who are just obsessed with feet.

We do our best to ensure the professionalism of everyone that we work with. Anyone that we recommend directly will be completely legit, but that doesn't mean that all of the people volunteering to take pics in the Photographer Hopefuls group or the person you meet at a member gathering or on a model resource site is going to be. Use common sense and always err on the side of caution.

5. If you're shooting with someone who has never shot for SuicideGirls before, please show them our Photo Guide

NO OFFICIAL SG PHOTOGRAPHER WILL EVER ADVERTISE OR E-MAIL YOU ASKING FOR NUDE PHOTOS. WE DO NOT HAVE RECRUITERS. These are internet pervs looking to see naked pics of you, please do not respond to them in any way.

Since it is not guaranteed your set will be accepted, we currently allow our staff photographers to ask for payment for their time. This is their own rate for their time (shooting + prepping the set), it does not go to SuicideGirls.com, this is a private agreement between you and the photographer.

Here are the rules that SuicideGirls has in place about paying for a photographer:

Staff photographers are NEVER allowed to charge SuicideGirls. They are welcome to charge applicants and hopefuls.

Non staff photographers are allowed to charge both SuicideGirls and hopefuls. We encourage them not to charge girls, but in the end it is up to them whether or not they charge a fee. It is up to you to look at their work and decide if you want to pay, and if not, there are many that will not charge you! You do not have to pay for a photo set if you do not want to.

You may use any photos from a set in Member Review anywhere you like (as long as it is not a competing site).

You may use any photos you'd like from a set accepted as the "Set of the Day" as long as the image has the SG logo and copyright on it.

Please make sure the photos you use on other sites agree with their terms of service - for instance, any photos you post on Facebook must have NO NUDITY, otherwise Facebook will take them down and possibly suspend your account.

Please do not reveal, under any circumstances, any personal information that could facilitate members locating you or your real name.

Do not give away your phone number, real full name, address, neighborhood, favorite hang outs, school or workplace.

We also ask the girls to not disclose any information about where SuicideGirls is located, the people who work here or any of the other SuicideGirls. Try to keep a level of mystery about your personal life and use your best judgment.

If any member is seriously harming your experience on the site making your experience unbearable, you may flag a particular comment by clicking the little red flag in the upper right hand corner of the post or message. This will pop up a window where you can enter a detailed description of the problem and links to any offending comments so staff can review the problem and, if appropriate, ban the member from the site.

If a member is a little annoying please just use the ignore feature on the site and avoid them. You can go to their profile and click "Ignore Member", or type in this url:

When you have someone on ignore, they can still read your blogs, but they will not be able to post comments on them or send you any messages, and their comments in groups and on the boards will be under spoilers.

We do not discriminate based on age, weight, race, or any other quality that makes you unique and beautiful and we are currently looking for a more diverse group of girls to join our ranks, so please apply!

You should be the only one in your first set. Once you and your friend both have a set on the site in member review, then you can send in a set together.

Two girl sets must either be two hopefuls or two Suicidegirls - we cannot accept sets of a hopeful and an SG.

Yes!!! We have lots of SuicideGirls that are successful models outside of their sets on SuicideGirls.

We ask that you do not model for competing sites during your time with SG. If you are currently on another site, we ask that you wait to apply until you are no longer modeling for them, and if you should choose to model for a competing site while you are modeling for SG, we would simply add you to the archive.

Working with other photographers, for magazines or other projects is definitely OK - lots of SGs have successful modeling careers.
