Im Baacccckckkkkkkkkkk =D I know you missed me!!
5 weeks of travelling went so damn quickly! I missed communicating with you guys!
I only got back a couple days ago and am fighting the jet lag!
SO get prepared for a few weeks of combined @bloghomework with my travel stories! Hopefully I can combine the two topics to be somewhat similar so thanks for this particular topic @lyxzen @missy @rambo
Which Celebrity is your Spirit Animal?
This is hard for me being I don’t care too much for celebrities.. as I discovered while in LA while exploring we were told to keep a look out for celebrities as we would probably see them on the streets and especially through our Paramount Studios Tour.
We did not.
But this didn’t really interest me, I don’t idolize any particular 'mainstream' celebrity or feel at one with them, if we had actually seen one I probably wouldn’t of cared too much to be honest. BUT what I discovered while working with didn’t photographers and stuff is that I have MY OWN celebrities.. people I admire, models, photographers, dancers ect who I was much more excited at the chance of meeting while in LA. The creative people I had admired and been inspired by over the years coming from being a 14 year old on Deviantt Art or even from the people I’ve meet on the site. THESE people excite me, these are my celebrities!
But for blog homework sake, on looks alone I get called Lady Gaga A LOT! Even last week on the metro in Hollywood. This has been going on for years, truly, especially when I had long blonde hair, I would get called Lady Gaga especially when I went to different countries. I even scored some perks out of it on an airline who thought I was! I had to let them touch my hair though haha
Here, we went to Madame Tussauds in Hollywood, TRULY, the most UNDER whelming experience of my life! Don’t do it, such a waste! But here’s the wax figure of lady Gaga! Who knew she was so short?
Lets move onto travel news from my time in LA! We spent 10 days in Hollywood, staying in between Thai Town and Little Armenia. LA was out last stop so its where we flew out of on Saturday to come home. Had some fucking amazing experiences here, working with photographers, our first week was just filled with photoshoots and there are some I would love to mention!
Working with John Remus was a really fun experience, I had loved his work with Kelly Eden, Vivika and Pink Pirate and just had to work with him! Worked out pretty well considering he was just about to leave LA, and we had a lot of fun! I’m sure we’ve seen my share these photos here or on IG! Would recommend working with him to anyone who travels to LA! He also took us to In and Out burger after our shoot! Was crazy busy and was only alright.. did not like the chips, they tasted dry or something.. oh wells! At least I can say I’ve tried it!
I also got to work with Victoria Allan and I actually found her though the work she had done with Sunny Suicide. We did a beach shoot at Santa Monica Pier and had a fabulous lunch afterwards! Seriously I was blown away by how lovely the photographers were in LA not only being amazing photographers but took the time to show us around and let us take avantage of the tourist things around us, especially with driving us around I so appreciate that!
We thought about hiring a car, I mean LA you so damn huge! But as some of you might know we had some stolen money issues and murica drives on the wrong side of the car and road! Fuck that seriously haha maybe next time XD
It wasn’t all photoshoots and working though! We also went up Runyon Canyon, where my partner hurt her leg and hobbled for days! We are not fit people right now haha We went to Universal Studios, Paramount Studios, we saw the Walk of fame and ate a lot of food! We love food XD We also meet up with an Aussie friend for burgers and beers! Love meeting up with other travelling Aussies! We went shopping at Pinup Girl Clothing and bought souvenirs and postcards.. all that fun stuff!
I also got to meet a lot of lovely ladies from this amazing site right here! I was lucky enough to be able to book a spot to shoot with @stormyent and @psypher while they were in LA! So lucky! I nervously meet up with them for breakfast at this great café along with @kiley and @sirius so glad I had my partner with me I can get quite fan girly with the ladies on this site! See what I mean by MY celebrites? Haha anyway they were all so lovely and welcoming, it felt super easy to talk to them. Especially @stormyent I had watched her whole SG journey from hopeful and SG with admiration and just truly treasured getting to meet her. We helped flyer the area for the upcoming burlesque shows before heading to shoot back where they were staying. We also had @misskerish and @sarissle with us by this point too!
Hanging out and chatting to these girls was probably my favorite part of the whole day. Just getting to talk about SG, the communities, the difference in our countries, modelling, tattoos, everything! We seriously lost track of time! Even while I was shooting I felt so comfortable having such lovely supportive ladies around me ^_^ really excited to see the shots @psypher got for sg! Was a pleasure working with her.
BUT the awesome SG meet up times don’t stop there! I had inquired about @sunny burlesque classes she was teaching in LA and was lucky enough to be able to attend the last one before she went on tour! Was excited to meet her and to get to dance! However I was the only person who showed up.. Which ended up being the best thing ever!!
SO instead of teaching me her usual class she taught me routines from the Blackheart Burlesque! Which was super fun! I dream of being apart of Blackheart Burlesque so this was really door opening for me and has really set my goals on fire! LA has inspired me so much! I wish I had the video we took so I could show you guys!
We also chatted a lot haha and I got to meet her awesome fiancée too! Such a cute couple! We quickly decided to meet up from drinks after the class as we were actually staying very close to them! We all meet up at Jumbos Clown Room for drinks and to watch some truly awesome pole dancers and strippers! All the $1 notes everywhere! Haha we chatted heaps and truly lost track of time as it was after midnight when we left and I had no idea! I love it when you meet someone and you so easily fall into a friendship ^_^ My partner loved them so much! We even went to have drink the next night for Sunny’t last night of work before she went on tour and that was a really fun night. I love making new friends overseas! It’s a good excuse to go back! We tried to hang out again but with us both leaving it got a little crazy and we actually left the same day and flew out only a few hours apart from each other!
Such as great way to end the trip!
But I also got to meet someone else, who really instills that My own celebrity theory I have going because when I saw her my heart dropped, I got so nervous and a total pathetic fan girl.. which Im happy to admit! Haha
Our last night we went to Meltdown Comics for the 150 years of Alice in Wonderland art show, I mostly wanted to see the Portrait of Alice this person had done. We stayed for around 20 minutes and then were about to leave to get food, I stop to look at a book just before walking out the door and I see her enter.. I turn my ass around to go back in because I am a GRADE A STALKER
I was not missing this opportunity to meet her
Not when I admired, been inspired and straight up crushed on Kelly Eden for so damn long!!
AND what a true sweetheart!! So cute! And short haha all the people I meet even Sunny where shorter than I imagined haha. She recognised who I was after I told her I had worked with John Remus and she loved my photos. She seemed genuinely upset when I said I was leaving the next day because she wanted to hang and go have tea! I wanted to change my flight so bad! But at least I know the door is open for that when I go back! I also meet her boyfriend who took some photos and I told her how great her artwork was and that one day I would buy one of her pieces.
THE BEST ending to our trip!
I am truly struggling with being back home. I miss LA so much and not so much the city as in the opportunities there, the modelling and dancing. It’s really inspired me I feel like my goals in life have never been so clear! And one of them is making my way there for a Blackheart Burlesque audition! I wanna get my hussle on so that when one is announced I can just get a last minute ticket and make my way there! I want to move there for a while too, get everything I can out of living in such a creative city. I was so sad to leave! But I’ll be back I have so many plans!
I hope my travel stories haven’t bored you too much! There is still Las Vegas, San Fran and New York stories! And don’t worry Ill do a whole blog on my wedding! But I wanna wait to get more photos back before writing it so I can show you buys more of my perfect day!
Love you guys!!
