so the day started off with my DM at the store. i like him and everything, but having him around just makes everything more stressful. what made things far better is that when my boss wanted to take an undercover smoke break, i sent him off to get me a cookie. i just wanted a cheap one from subway or something. he came back with three cookies from the good cookie shop. i love him. i'm so lucky when it comes to getting good bosses.
after work, i took one of my former employees to get her bellybutton pierced. it was her first one, so i of course took her to my boy adrian at piercology. she took it like a champ and we got to hear interesting bits of stuff that adrian had to do earlier in the week (note to others: BATHE!)
pita pit followed, where i ran into alisa and her boy on the street. i miss that girl! it made my day to get a bunch of hugs. and her boy is such a cutie!
we tried to go and get my tattoo retouched as something of a body mod extravaganza. well, the kid who did my resist was actually in at skinfx (not the first place i wanted to go to get it done, but the only place open when i needed it as it marked a turning point), but didn't want to retouch it because it was the weekend and this is when they can make a lot of cash. i'm sorry, what?
first of all, you can say "we're busy. can i set you up with an appointment next week?" because there were other people in the shop. i understand that. i get that it's better to make money than to fix something for free, but... that doesn't mean you can't present it better. how completely fucking unprofessional is it to say, "i don't have time for you because you're not going to drop money tonight." i DID drop money and frankly too muich money for what you did, asshole. he was never very personable to start out with, and this sort of took the cake, so to speak. i was Pissed. granted, he set me up with a time i could see him when he was up at evolved next week. that's cool. but you don't fucking say that. it's unprofessional. you are part of a business. i am your customer. i plan on spending some mad cash on my sleeve down at evolved. is this the way that you bring in business? no. is it the way you keep business? no. would i have customers continuously coming back to me if i said, "i don't have time to help you right now because i don't think you're going to spend enough money in here." NO! i want to complain, but i really don't know who to complain to. if i didn't know AJ and i didn't want to give him business, i would probably rethink spending more money there. this isn't the first time that people there have acted like shitheads to me.
whatever.
no use in getting worked up about it. if i get attitude when i go in on wednesday, that's the end of it with that kid. maybe AJ will be there and i'll get to talk to him about some stuff at least. bah! irritated!
that whole thing almost ruined my day, but then i got to go and hang out with redviolet and one of her friends. despite the fact that i'm really sad about leaving my apartment, it has to be done. and i think it's going to work out just fine. (though we're going to have to figure out what to do with missbernie and the bunkbeds. )
