Eileen's mother died sunday, just a day after her son was born. She named the boy Jake, after my love. I didn't know Marilyn well, but getting ready to go to her funeral sends me deep into sadness. More for Eileen than anything, but also returning me 10 months into the past, to when my mother left for good. 63 suddenly sounds so young.
