Just wanted to update to remove last week's depressing entry... Going to go sailing now.
Thanks for the b-day wishes from all!

Eileen's mother died sunday, just a day after her son was born. She named the boy Jake, after my love. I didn't know Marilyn well, but getting ready to go to her funeral sends me deep into sadness. More for Eileen than anything, but also returning me 10 months into the past, to when my mother left for good. 63 suddenly sounds so young.

4 days, 13 hours, and 14 minutes. Death toll still at zero, but marriage looking mighty shaky.

It has now been 3 days 13 hours and 54 minutes since I had a cigarette. Death toll is still at 0.

I have not had a cigarette in 3 days, 10 hours, and 37 minutes. I have not killed anyone yet. I am jumping out of my skin.

So, we had our first points race today, the 'Buck Carlisle Memorial'. It's a coastal race, and one of the club's most important of the year (big silver perpetual cup and all).
