...No, there isn't a little bit of Irish in everyone on this day. If your ancestors didn't come to this country out of desperation or desire to strike back at the cunts who drove them from your ancestral homes, didn't build this country's infrastructure alongside the Africans and Chinese, only to be burned out of town and spat on, then take off that fucking scally...

Fuck yes.

I'm 75% Irish, 25% Welsh, and a 3rd generation American. We still kind of have our roots, but not really. I'd meet the cunt that allowed the Welsh-man in my family, I'll probably kick him for getting rid of our O'Reily name... Now we're Williams's because of that bastard. Anyways..

This time of year just fucking makes me wretch, puke, squirm, and angry all in one swoop.

I feel like a dick though. I usually make myself a meal like my Grandma used to make with the taters and corned beef and cabbage and carrots and a nice pitch black chocolate stout. But, instead I had taco bell and got stoned. Wtf happened to me? I've sort of lost all sense of tradition.

I was going to ask you...

I think you and I have about the same length of hair. I usually run the top of my head to about the lower lip and the sides fairly short. Do you ever chop it off in the summer and run a tight/efficient cut? Or do you tough out the heat and let it stand tall?

Not much is new, other than my curremt overwelming desire to punch Jack Frost and Punxsutawney Phil in their respective throats. Two major storms this week + $2 a gallon for gas + gas guzzling rust bucket for transportation does not make me a happy camper.

Okay, so time for my weekly update.
The job is still pretty fun, but the commute is a bitch, especially in winter. It was snowing heavily monday, so I set out an hour and a half early for work and filled my gas tank on the way. Mind you, my tank was at the red line because on friday, I was driving home with a...

The record store gig seems to be going quite well. I spend most of my days putting cds on the shelves and stickering. Its mindless work, but its the kind of mindless work I can do for hours on end. No responsibilities, limited customer assistance, good mix of metal, blues, jazz and post punk playing to get in a good rhythm. Commuting is kind of...

I just discovered Eagles of Death Metal this last summer. How fucking rad is that record?

I miss my record store job more than anything. I think about it a lot. It was a really good time in my life filled with good friends.

FInally watched Eternal Sunshine. Best movie from last year hands down.

Hopefully this time back lasts longer than the last time back.

I made my 666th comment on here since rejoining the site in late 2003 today. Fitingly, it was about Mr. T.
My updates may become more sparse because I'm going to be working full time at the Warehouse starting tomorrow.

I'm back and I'm bound to attack.

I went in for the job interview at the Bullmoose Warehouse and was pretty much hired on the spot this afternoon. I start tuesday. I'm warehouse staff, not a clerk, so I don't normally work with customers. If you see me working feel free to wave or whatnot, but I really cant socialize because I'll be really busy.

Funny, I said I probably wouldnt update for a week, and here I am 24 hours later doing just that.
Yesterday was such a great day. Roadtrip. Possible job offer in Portland at a music warehouse (pays not great, but the environment and music discount will kick ass). Found "Never is Forever", completing my turbonegro album collection (I had it on vinyl already, but the...

Ho-o-o-lee sheeeeyit, Its January 31st, 2005!!!
Umm. I have no idea what that really means, it just sounded good. Since I probably wont update this thing for another week, let me just wish LilJackKnife a happy birthday in advance.
This week's mission is getting contact information from the Portland Phoenix, Casco Bay Weekly and Salt Productions to set up interviews. ARRR!!!
Long term mission: Establishing Turbojugend...

I survived the great blizzard of 2004, though really it was more of a subzero windstorm with a few inches of snow by the time it reached Lewiston. I'm kind of disappointed.

Oh, and if you recieved a painful groin injury during the blizzard, you may want to consult with the Scrotal Safety Commission.

I went to see The Life Aquatic with Steve Zisou last night. Keep in mind it only premiered in Lewiston on Friday because the local theaters were trying to extract as much money from the Grudge as they possibly could or something.
I'll spare you a long review of the film. Suffice to say I really liked some scenes/aspects and the overall story/tone of the...
