A's mother will die today or tomorrow. He won't be able to be with her in the end. Time. Lack of time. He has two more weeks of class and then finals. I really hope that he can at least walk with his classmates. It doesn't seem like it means much to him since none of his family will be there (and neither will I since I'll be in Glasgow.) I thought for sure their graduation would be before May 12. URGH.
I don't know what this means for the summer. I assume that he will head to Brazil as soon as exams are over/graduation. I really hope that he can spend as much time there as possible. Once he starts working I know that it will be kind of "impossible" for him to get down there. I have this fear that I won't even see him much...between my first year of law school and his first year at a law firm...it does scare me. He is my best-friend...closest friend...yes, I admit it...I'm scared that the level of stress/strain on both ends will be too much.
Still haven't heard from Carolina. It can't be a good sign that I haven't heard anything yet...but perhaps it isn't terrible since it means that they didn't hate my application.
I'm sitting outside on my fire escape (in the shade.) Just checked out a stack of Scotland travel guides and unsuccessfully looked for PhotoShop user guides from the Brooklyn Public Library which is about two blocks from my apartment (I love my apartment!) and then wandered through the park a little. Just a little though. This is fresh-from-winter Scottish skin and I was wearing a cute 'ittle tube top...not good without copious amounts of sunscreen. One more note: I had to pick up the Scottish history "How the Scots Invented the Modern World." Okay... I hope that someone has finally written a good intellectual history of Scottish political thought. No one seems to know how many Scottish thinkers were influencial in sparking many of the modern lines of politcal thought. So I'm pretty eager to dig into that one.
I feel like I should spend some time looking for private loans for school. I know how much I'm looking for now (got my Stafford loan amounts back) so That $40K figure looks pretty solid. *meep* If any of you lawyering types have any thoughts on that let me know. Suggestions? Wish I Had Known ______... Anything would be appreciated.
I'm torn between going to yoga (at 5pm) or just ellipticalling it watching CLOSER. I'm leaning toward the later. Watching a movie while sweating like mad is great. I have to be in the "right" mood for yoga. I generally like more energetic exercise.
The longer I sit here on my fire escape the more I'm tempted to plant flowers in the backyard. I guess I should wait until I find out about Carolina, but...
Missed the slobberknocking action last night. Hugs out to skyrche and looking forward to spending QT with the unbelievably adorable and kickass Doll on Thursday. Yummy.

Closer was a pretty good movie with one or two spectacular moments, I thought.
Having an elliptical right in front of the TV... it's kind of a dream of mine.
i spent about an hour laying there at long beach, while my friend dumped piles and piles of sand and then scaled me.

i think the iPod idea is great, especially when it's partially filled with *your* music and playlists. music does alot to put your mind somewhere, especially when it comes to thoughts of people and places.
