There is some evidence that my special chocolate covered strawberries don't suck:
I've spent a little time perfecting the art. In fact, my specially created chocolate is entirely "fake" -- no sugar, some agar agar (for those of you who know what that is) and lotsa luv go into it. Ask luna if you don't believe me. They may not be Godiva, but they are straight from this gals ticker...
My favorite brunch spot EVER:
You get the idea...sunshine, Brooklyn Bridge, shades, entirely too much food. In a word: BLISS. HEAVEN works, too.
And not least:
Me and sweeneytim at Satelite (their spelling...I swear) last Saturday afternoon. Whatever will they think of next? Beer gelatin? Weird...
But even weirder when you drink it with a straw:
Ain't Skryche just a cutie pie?
This weekend was a blur. Happy blur. Blur nonetheless.
Today, went to an international contracts class at NYU Law with A (who I must confess, continues to astonish me with his ridiculous brains and wit...and I'm used to ridiculously brainy/witty people.) Brainy guys turn me on...
Then, since I conveniently had a sick day, I wandered the streets (okay, that sounds more exciting than it was) and nagged luna into having lunch with me. He was quite the gentleman and didn't point out that that burger is going straight to you-know-where. (But I HAD to have a burger.) Then, headed to a Law School to talk to Financial Aid God. I've been accepted at a number of places. Now I just have to come up with the $50K a year (hey, I can do THAT kind of math) that it will cost me. *meep*
That's all I have to say about that.
Spent my ridiculous store credit at Banana Republic on *cutest* ever Spring coat, which I desperately needed. Also on *cute* (but not cutest ever) sweater that I Didn't Know I Needed and a potentially *cutest ever* pink dress that was Way Way Way on SALE. The dress will be CUTE when I'm done with it... *creative smirk/smile* And I didn't even go over my store credit. Nice.
Also bought two pairs of flat summer shoes. They are the first flat shoes I will have owned short of my gym shoes. All I ever wear are heels...but it is time to wear some flats. My chiropractor told me so. And since I won't be able to afford him much longer (*meep*Meep*MEEEEEEP*) I decided that I would have to listen this time around. They are cute shoes though. I'll have to take pictures and show you. Truth of the matter is, I just don't think that flat shoes are capable of being really *cutest ever* cute.
So I've had an Upper East Side day. Sort of. Although I doubt that spend hours reading financial aid paperwork and creating budgets and figuring out ways to work off the books this coming year. I suppose this means I'm back to DJing a few nights a week.
I'm so thankful to be making a new friend. I feel like that Happens. One friendship changes...fades a little...and you meet someone new...a new friendship...a new wonderfulness in your life. I'm lucky. *wink*
