I'm having so much fun with my siblings. It is fantastic to show new things to people who are curious and full of life and just generally excited about Things.
Plus, I got to dye my lil' sister's hair last night. Nothing crazy. I do want to be on speaking terms with my mother...
She took this one of me on the subway...
We've done it all: Ferris wheel in Toys'R'Us...Ethiopian food...drag queen bingo...dive pool hall...Canal Street...makeovers at the MAC counter...you name it...we've done it...or will do it...
And we still had time to make chocolate covered strawberries!
So my LASIK surgery is in two hours. wow. I will no longer be blind. It seems impossible. Like a miracle. I'm still kind of amazed. I still have this mental picture of me playing the role of the lady in the early surrealist flick Le Chien Andalou (1929).
I still don't get to go snowboarding, although I'm riding up to the mountain with a van full of friends so that my siblings can go and experience some "real" boarding, not like what passes for snow and mountains in NC. So I will be the Lodge Mother with the knitting and reading and camera. There are worse things. But then, I get to go next week. Looks like
luna will be making the trip up with me and another friend of mine. *bounce, bounce, bounce* That would make me SO happy!
I just sold my iPod on eBay. Some lucky duckie somewhere is getting a nearly flawless iPod crammed full of great music. I needed a bigger one. It looks like they stopped making the 40 and 30 is just way too small. Am I really going to buy a 60G? I could put lots of naughty photos on it though...that would make my commute even more fun...I wander if you can listen to music while flipping through pictures? Hummmm... Devious mind at work...
I miss someone. A lot. It is driving me crazy.
