In case anyone is wondering I still haven't heard from Kevin Smith about Shadows of the Bat. I don't expect to anytime soon since near as I can tell they still haven't made any decisions about what to do with this idea. It was originally meant to be a TV show but from what I saw under the first episode that featured the idea and how they talked about it in the second i think it might be either blocked or still on the table awaiting interest from someone, ANYONE and no one has stepped up yet. I'll wait in the wings for my chance if the show really and truly is dead, I don't really have a problem with that to be honest. In fact the only problem I will have is if I hear nothing at all in which case I'll have this idea and work that is just sitting on my hard drive in limbo. That would suck. In the end I don't expect to be given the green light but I have to try. It is more than worth the risk to go ahead and try and make this comic anyway.
Speaking of comics I have decided to finally go ahead and relaunch my original title Wavelength. For those of you who don't about this (and judging by the number of pageviews that's all of you) Wavelength is a transsexual superhero. The backstory is that she is somehow sucked out of our universe into a parallel universe where the laws of physics are just skewed enough that her biological makeup grants her superpowers. In this case the ability to manipulate the electromagnetic spectrum at the quantum level one band at a time (Visible light, ultraviolet light, infrared light, radiowaves, etc.). I got scared when I got to page two after I heard about this story and the backlash it created. I made the tentative decision to stop afraid of what would happen if that same kind of attention were directed my way. I recently decided fuck that because that's exactly what the haters want, for people like me to be scared into silence. So I'm going ahead with the project, I'm up to page four and am working on five and six this weekend. They should both be up by this weekend and you can view them all here.
Last but certainly not least I had my 156,987,471,056,432.6th comic idea this one involving the Greek Gods. Just one random thought entered my head during work one night. "What if a warrior went to Aphrodite after having done all kinds of quests and killed all kinds of monsters hoping that would convince her to sleep with him and she responded; 'If you wanted to fuck me that badly all you had to do was ask.'" Yeah, my mind works that way.
