Well I've done all I can do at any rate. It turns out the front end is in serious need of a pair of ball joints which I was quoted at $09 plus alignment to fix. I don't have that much so I'm forced to call it quits for the time being. There is some good news in that my paycheck was over $100 more than I was expecting and I get access to my bonus one week from today so I'll be able to pay the rent with very few, if any issues. There is still some other suspension work that needs to be done that isn't critical so I'm most likely going to have to do all of it at once. That means I can't work on it until I've bought all the parts and that's going to take some time. I may have to wait till my tax return shows up, that way I can get all the go fast goodies I've been wanting. :) Such is the journey of the project car.
mydogfarted:
are the ball joints bolt ins, or do you need to replace the entire lower arm?
bromopar:
@mydogfarted The ball joints can be replaced but considering the age of the control arm and the bushings I don't think it'll be worth the headache and expense. At this point it will be easier and a lot more cost effective to just replace the entire control arm.
