Felt like buying a movie through the Playstation Network but 20 bucks for a 1930s movie in HD seemed a bit much so I went with something cheaper. I downloaded MirrorMask and have been watching it nearly constantly for the past week. I like how it actually tells you how many times it's been played, in this case, almost 20 already. This movie has a lot of nostalgic value for me but I never appreciated it much when it first came out. I have now grown to love the movie and find new things every time I watch it.

Another nostalgic movie I watched again recently was "The Faculty." It's been a few years but it was fucking awesome when it first came out and it's still fucking awesome. I can't think of many horror movies made after it that compare. "The Cave" was similar in theme, the whole parasite thing, but "The Faculty" is much more relatable and has much more memorable characters. It's also kind of a throw-back to older alien movies like "The Thing". You don't know who to trust. It has the same type of "test" to rat out aliens but it brings a more modern look at it. Instead of the alien protecting itself from fire it's protecting itself from being dried out, ie. drugs. The are a ton of actors I recognize, Famke Janssen was hot as both the insecure and confident Ms. Burke, Elijah Wood, the T2 Terminator Robert Patrick, Salma Hayek, Josh Hartnett before his career inexplicably went into the gutter, even Jon Stewart (who was great in a horror flick) makes an appearance. The soundtrack was good as well. All in all, modern take on an old story, very relatable, great actors, and great music. What else could you ask for? I think it still holds up as a great horror movie.
