Oh, the fun that was had!
This weekend was the much anticipated SGNY Open Call. As with any event, there was good and there was bad, but the good kicked the bad's ass as far as I was concerned. I got there around 10, and the place was already packed. It was clear to me that the bar wasn't expecting that kind of turnout, especially since it took an average of 15 minutes to get a freakin' beverage. Anyway, we all got our drink on and tolerated the metal until minimalism got there with some boogie music. Evidently his music wasn't 'hard' enough for the locals, so he played for as long as possible before the bottles started to fly. Brave man.
Through the haze of alcohol, it was lovely to see everyone. freyja was at her finest, rockin' the glam and making the rounds. JaiDee and chrislikewhoa kept it real with the PB sammiches. whosyourlibra confirmed that she HADN'T fallen off the face of the earth. Aspen and I got some quality conversation time, which was lovely. I think she and I should have our own talk show. It was great to see the handsome luna again. AndersWolleck and haphpnt brought gavanv to the shindig and we talked of Tsunamis past. Iggy's butt cheek was in my hand on more than one occasion, and UnnecessaryZ took NBK66 back to our apartment for some hot man sex. Skryche and vyeseleph made an appearance, much to my delight, as was legionnaire and his woah-man. I caught a glimpse or two of RXQueen and BoxOfficePoison, too.
Special mentions go to the fucking kick-assingly awesome Bailey, who thankfully didn't have to hurt anyone, and the charmingly adorable Ren, who is connected to me in a Six-Degrees-of-Seperation kind of way. Both ladies reminded me of how flippin' sweet SGs are.
When the douchebaggery at the venue got to be a little much, we retired to waxangel's joint. The debauchery only increased there, of course.
The alcohol became overwhelming too soon, and before we knew it, NBK66, NadzofSteel, Krrn and I were in a cab on the way back to our humble abode. I was done as soon as my head hit the pillow, which is always a good sign.
Once again, SGNY provided me with an incredible night. As I said the next morning, I can always count on enjoying myself with those kids, no matter what (or who) we do.
In other news, Dan and I are packing this week for Part 1 of the big move. I think we're going to head over to the new place sometime this week to get our scrub on. It'll SPAHKLE by the time we're through. Needless to say, we're psyched about the apartment. It RULEZ.
Alright, I have to go earn my salary now.
