my birthday is coming so let me share with you what my step dad is giving me: FORECLORESURE ON THE FUCKING HOUSE I LIVE IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now for a story:
I grew up poor, very poor and most times it is because my mother didn't and still does feel the need to have a job. Needless to say there were many times we nearly lost our apartment, because she couldn't pay. We did loose heat several winters, but somehow she always managed to hustle the rent money.
She meets my step-dad and all is good with money the man owned three houses, some poperty and a business. When I was seventeen she kicked me out.
At 17 i had to work full time, and complete high school and pay for my own apartment. Due to this edited history clearly my home has become the most important thing in my life. I have never been evicted or even near it no matter my $ circumstances. I have developed a maddening 'nesting instinct'.....
so skip to a few years ago, i decided to quit work and go to college. my mom leaves my step dad to live in a trailer in texas and do drugs. My step dad decides to by a strip club and snort and fuck all his money away. He is left only with the house my mom, he and i lived in. In the meantime i have a cozy apartment (be it cold, be it old, and be it on campus) but it was mine and cozy.
Step dad decides (after he is broke) that he is done with the strip club and moving to another state to live with my bible raping sister. He feds me a line about how i never accepted his money or help with college and he doesn't want to leave without a. giving me a place to call home (tap tap tapping into the nesting thing) and b. because my mom performed a little identity theft deal on my credit, that he knows i can't buy a house.....so his offer....
I move into this huge ass house, i pay $800 a month he knocks a couple hundred off and i am set. Per the end of college he will take into acct my payments and sell me the house if i want it...wow!! how awesome is this?
WELL it only works if he is paying the fucking mortgage..I get a letter the other day addressed to him, but he is in another state and this looks serious....rati reads it for me to make sure it says what i think it says....and it does!!! THE house is being fucking foreclosed on
I have no idea if this means i will come home to an orange sticker and a deadbolt on the door tomorrow or do a have some time.

Draw that process out and milk it for all its worth. That will make his life hell. Also keep in mind it is common to get those notices even if the payments are only 1 month behind so the property might really not be in the forclosure process. It might just be a formality from the bank.
