It seems every time I start working out, I am surprised by the happy side effects: more energy, craving healthier food, motivation to get things done, better sleep, overall feeling of happiness. Today I have decided to pick up where I left off on a project in my room, building a bench under the bay window. Unfortunately, the wood I had left in the garage...

Sunday I'll be on my way to check out a car in Sarasota, Fl . I figured that since I have never been there before, I might as well hang out a few days and check the place out. It has been months since I started my search for a vintage/retro/classic car, and I've had some ups and downs. I am hoping that this is...

Doesn't sound like a bad problem right? In this case, though, I am stuck because of a knee injury I sustained at work. Me being my clumsy self, I slipped on a pile of ice while trying to clear the snow from a satellite dish, falling w all my weight on my right knee... which decided to test the integrity of a solid chunk of...

So the plan for today was to clean up, pack, and then go back out on one last hike before leaving the site tomorrow.... So far I've played Call Of Duty, done some laundry, and had breakfast for lunch... oh, and I'm still on the computer looking for my dream car. Maybe one more cup of coffee will motivate me to get going?

As I was heading back from walking the shoreline, I got to see a pair of sea otters play on the...

I work up in Alaska about 9 months out of the year, so you can bet your sweet ass that I get excited when it's getting close to that time to return home! I work at a remote location with 3 other people, all older than me by at least 20 years... not much 2 on 2 tackle football going on as you may imagine....

lol it's a common question! I do like to fish, but not for a living. I'm an electronics technician, at a remote radar site for the Defense Early Warning system. And less than a week to go!

Yes, we have it! Well, it is nothing near what you get in a city, town, or even your local coffee shop, but for the most part it'll do. I can at least stay in touch with friends and family, and sometimes I got enough bandwidth that I can upload a few pictures from my hikes during the day. This post came about because I...

It's been 3 weeks since I got to work, and at this point I'm not sure when I will get to go home! Not sure how I feel about that. The weather is getting nicer out, even went for a 3 hour hike in 19 degrees since it was sunny out. Got some cool pics too =)
