1. I got a 104% on my history exam. Yesssssssss!

2. I got a 90% on my sociology exam. Yes.

3. I got an 86% on my sociology paper. Bad. It's the lowest paper grade I have EVER gotten. Not happy.

4. Econimcs test tomorrow morning.

5. Art history test tomorrow night.

6. I do nothing but pretend to study, then I cram at the last minute.

7. I really practice my usual avoidance methods of:
a) Reading cooking magazines.
b) Throwing the ball against the back of the garage so I can play catch with myself because my dog wants to play basketball instead of catch.
c) Listening to too-loud music. Lately it's been: The Stooges, Reigning Sound(thanks Eloy!), the Horrorpops, Stiff Little Fingers, The Vandals, and some Dwarves. I also threw in a little Joe Strummer and the Mescaleros just to mix it up a little bit.

8. Everybody needs to go watch the movie Election because that is some funny shit. And Pecker too.

9. When you all get old and have dentures, please get them properly fitted and do not clack them and make loud sucking/slurping noises with them in public. It's nasty.

10. In your opinion, what do American grocery stores say about American culture to you vs. the culture of an undeveloped or developing nation?

haha, well since you mentioned sweets, here is my favorite vegan dessert recipe...
I just posted it to Michele too. smile
I use date sugar or Rapadura, but I think it tastes better with white or raw sugar if you don't have sugar issues.

Banana Bread

2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
tsp. salt
1 cup sugar
1/3 cup canola oil
5 ripe bananas, mashed (about 2 cups)
cup water
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup chopped walnuts or cup chocolate chips or both (optional)

Preheat oven to 350. Mix flour, soda and salt together in a large mixing bowl. In another bowl, beat sugar and oil together, then stir in the mashed bananas, water and vanilla and mix thoroughly. Mix with the dry ingredients and stir in walnuts and or chips. Spread into a greased 9-inch square pan (or you can make muffins) and bake for 45-50 minutes until toothpick comes out clean.

oh my god, that coconut milk/fruit thing sounds great!!! And I can totally have agave syrup!
I just made a giant pot of soup yesterday, and I just put whatever vegetables I had in the house, plus some lentils and quinoa, and coconut milk and water, it was so good.

I read somewhere recently, and now I can't remember where, but it was a hot chocolate recipe that just called for heating up coconut milk and adding some cocoa powder and a little sweetener of your choice. I can't wait to try it, I haven't had hot chocolate in forever!!
