Got back from Ohio last night. Was an ok trip, a lot of driving, but I did get to see some family members I haven't seen in over 5 years, but also found out my grandmother has 3 months to a year to live. She's been in and out of the hospital for a little over a month now.
I got a couple of the "you ever think about moving closer to home?" questions this weekend. Told them I didn't see it happening. Makes me feel like a bad realative. I'm also the oldest in the family that isn't married or has a kid, so a lot of those kind of questions too, not as many as usual.
I'm finished with this girl though, she blew me off again last night without so much as a call. I don't get it. If you don't want to do something, just tell me no instead of saying yes and not returning my call or whatever. This has happened more than once now with her and I was warned from others about it as well, but didn't listen. I guess I learned, but probably not.
Want to go do something today to occupy my time rather than sit at home. Want to go thrifting in particular and check out the new Kroger on Mooreland. Such the exciting existance.
Only 24 more days until I go to Chicago. Can't wait, it is one of my favorite cities to visit. Great food and great people. There is some music conference called Mobfest going on that weekend as well as Taste of Chicago. Probably won't hit either of those, but plan on going to the museum and doing other stupid art things like take pics.
Almost forgot, Unsane last Wed. was great. The loudest show I've ever been to at the Earl. My hearing went out about 4 songs into the set. For the next 2 days when I talked my voice had some reverb/distortion effect in my head. I was suprised by the number of how few people were there, less than 100. There set was started off by newer material then finished up with some of there older favorites including Committed, Empty Cartridge, Scrape, Alleged and Sick. There drummer was sick too, he never stopped playing, inbetween song he would keep playing different beats and fills until they stopped tuning and go right into the next song. He was beating the fuck out of the drums. Hopefully the pics I took will turn out good.
No room for the hate that I have
