Hey y'all,
First off, let me say thanks to everyone for the kind words concerning my last post. I really try to keep things positive here. There's enough negativity everywhere else. It was just a rough week, and I appreciate all the nice things people had to say.
Last weekend started out even worse than the rest of the week, but then it somehow miraculously...

We've pretty much been throwing ideas around as to what direction we would like to go in but with both of our backgrounds, I could see us venturing into marketing/advertising campaigns print/tv possibly. My friend and I (he even moreso) have a big foot in the door in the wakeboarding industry; we both used to compete on the pro level and he was editor of a wakeboarding magazine and still does freelance writing and journalism within the sport... so it'd be a logical start point to test the waters. I mean really, a media company entails so many things, we're just trying to come up with some sort of solid direction before putting together a business plan. Thanks for your offer man; I actually mentioned you last night when we were talking and my friend was pretty stoked to hear about what you were doin'. To be continued...
Hey y'all.
So, my intention was to have a new post for you with some brand spanking new artwork, the first work of the new year, in fact. Problem is, my tablet died halfway through my painting. So it looks like we'll all have to wait for new work until I can afford to buy a new tablet. Unfortunately, it might be a while.

Hey y'all!
The first part of this journal entry is going to be a big thank you to the lovely, talented and just plain awesome Twinkie. I'm a big fan of her work, and over the summer I asked her if she would make a special blueberry muffin scarf for me to give to my girlfriend as a Christmas present. So months passed, and...

hey man! time for a new thread, isn't it? how's the new year coming?
and don't worry about the whole "sloth" thing. your just such a nice guy, i would be horrified to offend your sensibilities. and since it's virtually impossible to read sarcasm in an email, let me assure you, i'm NOT being sarcastic. i'll admit that my sense of humor tends to be a bit "off". well. that's how my friends put it anyway, and we all know they'r just being nice

Hello again all.
So in my last post, I talked about the Pistolita calendar project, and posted my contribution to it. The calendar, as well as prints and merch are available here. You should really check it out, and if you can make a purchase to help Pistolita with her rising medical costs. 'Tis the season and all. Also, below is my second contribution...

I emailed the guy behind the calendar, but he keeps sending back blank emails - weird. Anyways, my contract doesnt give me any rights at all - no payment, no credit, no nothing. I still want a copy of it, though - and my mom wants to see it, too! >_<

Hope you have a great holiday, too!
Hello again all.
First of all, I'd really like to thank everyone for the wonderful compliments on my recent paintings. You really have no idea how much it means to me, especially since I am apparently a sexist neaderthal. Let me explain...

aww, sorry to hear about all that negativity. i really don't like it when people are too overly critical about things like that with no regards to the artist...it can really kill the motivation to make anything. i think the stuff you do is awesome, and i see your stuff as something along the lines of appreciating women rather than degrading them.
xtine:
That looks rad!
And thanks for the support! You're so nice. I'm going to try my best!!

Hey folks.
I cut off all my hair. Things have been kinda rough this week. Really rough, to be honest, and I think I just snapped and needed to do SOMEthing, and then...snip. Once the first tress, is gone, there's no hope for the rest really. On the plus side though, my shower time is a lot shorter, so, y'know, that's something.

i'm sorry to hear that. i don't know if my current situation is leading me there either. it's like i want to sit down and have a conversation about it, without him rolling his eyes, or feeling like i'm pressuring him into it. however I need to know if we're on the same track, if not, it's best to part earlier than later.
So alright. Hey everyone. It's been about another month since my last post, and things have been quite busy. I'm now the only graphic designer left in my office, so now all rivers run through me. I've been spending a lot of extra time there, which even though I'm getting paid, sucks. I can never buy back my free time.
My birthday was last week,...

Sounds like fun.
I went and bought some pumpkins and have a couple of friends coming over to play dress up at my house then a dance tonight.
No real plans for the actual day.

Hello again all! I can't believe it's been a month since my last post. I've been incredibly busy lately. Let's see...well, probably the most time consuming thing is the CD project I've been working on. I collected a 4 CD set of music that sounds particularly good through headphones, and designed and created all of the inlays and a booklet for it. I even had...

I haven't had to experience the distance yet. It looks like their plans are changing. Not moving, but touring two weeks out of the month...so we'll see. Besides, we are going through a weird spot right now and I don't know what the future holds. Can I just say that BOYS SUCK?
I agree with you on the public fornication. While it was novel, it was also kind of sad. But I suppose of all places and events to do it, that was the one.

Hi all! My last entry was rather photo heavy, and I rather liked it that way. I've decided that this entry will be much the same. My girlfriend is currently in a play in a place called Adamant. Adamant is located roughly a million miles from anything. The cool thing about it though is that the playhouse there is surrounded by some really awesome things...

It's my favorate also ! I think the previous prints were a journey to that one.. hows your work going?
xtine:
The comic is moving pretty slow actually. Not because we don't have enough material, but because it's a lot of work to draw it all out and be perfectly happy with it. BUT we will have the next (and official first) issue out by November. It's a legit deadline.
Thank you so much for asking.

Hello again all.
So okay, the last week or two has been a bit rough. There was a lot of confusion and frustration, which all was dealt with in stride. There was also however a rather serious stumbling block in my relationship that was accidentally made apparent to me. That isn't being handled quite so deftly.
I'd honestly like to avoid going into detail, but...

Yeah, I could never get with the man-hating women. I get that they were/are angry about feeling oppressed by men, but the hate part isn't so much productive, either.
I would not completely dismiss everything that this woman believed in, tho. I mean, I get what she is saying about if 100% of women stayed home, there'd be no women out there saving the world or improving it, and that those jobs would rest on the men. Then we'd all jump down her throat and say "why can't men stay home?" well, sure they can, but her book is not for those particular people, i guess.
