Major problems took place this week, most of which did not involve me but ones I love.
My best friend's first love, the guy she thought she would grow up to marry and the only person she has ever deeply cared for, broke up with her this week saying" his heart wasn't in it." she was inconsoloble, and I could think of any way that I could make her feel better over the phone so I decided to just trek on up to VA and give her some moral support. It was a ten hour drive, but I got to see quite a few of my friends and have some time to think about everything thats been going on lately. (not all that much, unfortunately.) The drama still hasn't subsided with my friend, who now has it on good authority that the boy is still hung up on his ex, who she is also friends with. The whole thing just sucks. I really just wanted to go track down the toolbox and kick his passive-aggressive ass, but I thought better of it. Instead we hung out and knitted and ate vegan treats. She's still upset, but I think things may be a little better.
At any rate, I also brought my guitar so I got a lot of songwriting done while taking rest breaks. For some reason traveling is sort of musically inspiring.
Well now I'm back, and I'm upset that I missed the SGburlesque, and all the ppl that were there. I'm sure it was fabulous, but there's gotta be another chance to see everybody, right? Sorry guys!
As soon as I have a chance, I'm gonna post some pics of my new superwoman underwear, which are too fucking great to keep to myself. Until then folks...

You would really, really like Skeeter Davis, I think. You should check out some of her stuff. She's got these awesome songs like "Gonna Get Along Without You," "He Says the Same Things to Me," and "I've Forgotten More Than You'll Ever Know About Him." Great for getting over heartache!
When I come back to Atlanta, we have to get together. You'd have so much fun with the Atlanta people. They're so sweet!
+one more for good measure
