This week's SG homework from @rambo is 'Tell us about your favourite author or book!' <3
So it's pretty clear now which one mine is...
I know a lot of people got forced to read this in high school and they didn't take to it for that reason. I didn't get that chance, i got given really crappy books in high school. I branched out a bit by myself. My nose was always in a book. I'm very content just sitting quietly reading.
I found this battered copy of To Kill a Mocking bird in my parents house, the pages were all falling out and it was pretty worn. But i read it from cover to cover and just started over again when i finished it. I fell in love with it. So i got myself a new copy.
For those that aren't familiar with it, the story takes place in Alabama in the 1930's. It's seen through the eyes of a six year old girl and how her father, who is a lawyer, defends a black man who has been accused of raping a white girl. It's really humorous and warming even though it deals with serious issues. They made it into a film in the 60's, i've only seen it once but it really did live up to the book. (so if you're feeling lazy just stick that on.)
I don't keep many books, i'm still a sucker for libraries. Most of the books i have i've either stolen from my mates (which if they read this blog i'm going to have to give back now....) or got given as presents.
But this wee beaut came into my life recently. I wanted one for ages and i know theres the whole debate on book vs kindle but i gotta say, i adore it. It goes with me everywhere. i have @marcrogers84 to thank for that.
This is one of my favourite photos, i love using it. it was shot by @fifthblade when we done a night time shoot. Which brings me to the awesome news that my next set will be in the queue soon and will post a couple previews in my next blog for you guys x
