Well, it's been a long time between posts. I guess I'm not sure whether or not I really want to stay on this site much longer. The girls are gorgeous as ever, and the boards as funny, but somehow it's all getting a little old and repetitive. We'll see I guess.

Perhaps I haven't posted because my life is just coasting along fairly steadily. Made...

So last weekend I felt like a cartoon character...mainly because I had a flower pot hanging above my bed that fell on me while I was sleeping. Knocked me out cold and I woke up later with a splitting headache, bouts of nausea, and general exhaustion. Mild concussion probably.

But when I think about it, who has a flower pot fall on their head? Only...

Scanner Darkly was great, I agree! Too bad you didn't see scramble suits after the bump on the head: at least that would be amusing tongue Hope your head is better! Watch out for those rogue flower pot attacks biggrin

I'm training to run my first marathon every in October. Its kind of a strange activity, running. I almost always run alone, so its very isolating, but also a good space to think about things and just let my mind wander.

I've been burning out at work, staying till 10 or 11 many nights trying to get this living wage analysis finished. But man, I'm...

There's nothing wrong with a little 40-ish women spinning!

Definitely explore the hidden/slash/seedy ABQ areas and report back smile

Trip 9. No, just kidding. Still, I've been all over the craziness and back. Went snowboarding in CO where I nearly died and only fell on my ass hard one time. Then went rock climbing in southern NM, where we climbed a very steep and scary mountian. Yikes.

And so now I'm back. Working like mad, trying to finish the one class I'm taking, and...

1. Great new pic!
2. Post some shots of the beautiful NM scenery; I am so fascinated with the southwest. It's definitely calling me there. As soon as I can wrestle up some cash for a plane ticket, I will be visiting Albuquerque. I've already gone on the tourist websites to check out the sites, but I'll probably just go and enjoy the atmosphere and food.
terrakotta:
Damn, it's hot there? It was a deluge here for about a week, and now it's finally sunshine-y and summerlike. No more spring season for New England I guess.

ps: btw, when you're in that "hating relationships" stage, you always find the great love of your life. So watch for her! smile

Trip 1: Phoenix

I'm going to Phoenix this coming weekend! Not usually a cause for excitment, since ABQ and the 505 make Phoenix look hot, flat, and boring, but there are two of my friends there, one of whom recently got dumped. I anticipate lots of drinking, deep conversations, and a consistent urge to yarf. I'm so excited! Maybe he'll proposition me again too! smile whatever

On...

Valentine's day. Bah! I've never really been one for valentines day in the first place, and I don't think I've ever felt lonely and sad during it. For some reason this time I do.

I am lonely. There, I said it. I don't want to be though. I want to be completely over my past girlfriend, and enjoying being single, doing my own thing. And...

So last night I went to Exhale, which for those of you in Northampton, is like Divas. I had a suprisingly good time, ended up dancing with some gay guy on box (I've never downed a long island iced tea so quickly), and then talking to this girl until 4 in the morning.

Connections are strange. The important ones for me are the really deep...

Man, Happy Birthday. Sorry I missed it. Hope you had a good time at dinner.

Remember that bridges aren't just placed in the harbor- they need to be built. It's the same thing with EZ: he's expecting love at first sight, which really only happens in movies.
I wasn't in love with Angel at first- I let Lily try to hook her up with EZ. It took some time, but now it's awesome. Or I could have dismissed her as another MoHo, and I'd be alone now.
Those intense connections we made in college are great, but it definitely twists the way some of us see the world. Those took time, too. We didn't really hang out until your 4th year.

WhooHooo!!

I made it to albuquerque. I have a great house thats only a short walk from work, and a couple of awesome roommates. Now if only I could get some furniture. Right now I am sleeping on a futon on the floor, and have nothing else in my room.

Many things still going on...want to join a climbing gym to try rock climbing, want...

Glad you made it here alright... wink It's too bad you didn't post this a month ago. I was looking for someone to take my old bed off my hands...I ended up giving it to some undeserving fool.

One more thing, on the off chance that anyone is looking to go from MA to New Mexico leaving on the 18th, I desperately need a person to go with me, as driving the whole way will be the sux0rs.

Hope it wasn't too suck.
I swear, I'm gonna look for those shoes, but I wanted to spend 2 and a half straight days with Angel cause she left today for two weeks.

The bleak nights follow on the wings of excitement. I leave for New Mexico on the 18th, a three day drive on a sketchy car. But on the other side, an excellent job doing very interesting work with economic analysis.

The last six months of my life have been characterized by a strong sense of purpose and up-and-comingness. I've been sort of piddling around, not...

Sweet. A brief period of extreme forgetfulness, but now I can enter a whole new log.

So I went to the Burlesque show on Thursday, which was awesome, and which was accompanied by a funny ass band called something like Tsu Tsi Ma Mi Re. Imagine japanese bubble-gum pop girls combined with heavy metal. It was crazy, and hilarious.

I tried to come up with...

Okay, I got a 3 out of 3 on ALL AREAS from my licensing observer!!! YAYAYAYAYAY! Of course, I have two more to do, scheduled for a week from today. So I can't exhale yet.

Nine Inch Nails is good angry, screaming music. Which reminds me of something funny that happened this week in my classroom: my 10th graders are reading Julius Caesar, and we were deconstructing the dialogue when Brutus tells the conspirators that the murder should be quick and necessary, not a mutilation or a butcher job. I asked the kids, why does Brutus say this? Is there a difference? But I didn't get much response. So I gave them a hypothetical scenario and I pretended to shoot an imaginary person, then pretended to hack an imaginary person with an ice pick, violently thrusting my clenched hand like I was stabbing someone in a frenzy. I looked at the students, and they were mesmerized. One said, "Miss, are you ok?" and another said, "Miss, I am a little freaked out that you know how to do that. Is there something you're not telling us?" It made me laugh, even hours later. biggrin

hey i'm excited to get another sg person in alb. as for good places to live....there is a lot of available residences right around unm ( i go there so i know) it all depends on your snob level though....and income. There are some pretty cheap not so bad apartments around unm on like university, or lead, gold, streets like that, but it is a little ghetto..but only a little. ANd if your single and what not, it's not so bad, But if your looking for something a little nicer, just a few blocks south is the downtown area, a little pricer, but nicer and a lot of complexes are gated, and ofcourse there's always the lofts, which are costly, but really nice.

I hope that helps a little, look forward to meeting you! wink
