About three years ago I developed a habit of stepping out of my door when the mood takes me, picking a random direction and exploring london until my feet beg me to stop.
Today was one of those days.
I walked west, out of Crouch end and through Highgate village. I then swung south; having the desire to see the river and cut through Camden, Russel Square, past the British museum, through Covent Garden, Charing X .
I ended up on the south bank; by the Secondhand bookmarket (bought T.H. White's The Once and Future King for 1. Bargain.) underneath Waterloo bridge before my feet started to grumble. I have to say, I have lived in London now for what is coming up to ten years and I'm still in love. The view from the south bank alone re-affirmed that for me today.
Naturally, I caught the bus home.
Another gig coming up on 18th June at the borderline, we are onstage at 12pm.(dear lord!). Hope to see some of you there.
