I just finshed my day, and let me say that, damn it was one ell of a day. I stayed up ast night and slept only a couple hours, got up at 10:00am today and left for Coney Island around 11:00. The L train was completely fucked up and I had to take this as backward way into the city to meet up with the crew. With that behind us we got out to the Siren Festival around 1:45p, got food and bought cokes, since we had a huge bottle of 151 and began making rum and cokes for everyone who wante d some.
The Kills took the stage first and with alot of hesitation but warmed up quickly to the crowd, although the fell into some technical trouble with the sound. It was a shame because they had a great sound and were working hard to excite the crowd. Next up we saw the Dirtbombs who were fun but very generic although the double bass combination on stage was tight with some really tweaked out grooves.
Arpund this time Luna from SGNY showed up with with some friends and we rode some of the rides and started to make yet another round of Rum and Cokes. Had to hunt for ice while we made our way back to the big stage int time to see the Hot Hot Heat, which by the way was the best band on the line up to rock the crowd. The heat was intense een with the breeze from the beach, but people were getting down.
At this point my friend showed up with the farmies and things got loopy, followed with some smoke, and it was a party. After the set we all went and rode the cyclone which was cool since our numbers grew once we started handing out shots of Rum to anyone standing by us. The cyclone was the highlight of the day, so fucking awesome it was. Deciding that nobody could function as responsible, we caught the train to Carrol Gardens, and caught a car to the resturant Sea in Williamsburg where we raiised enough hell to warrent hitting sweetwater across the street for games of pool and BUCK HUNTER, the greatest arcade game ever.
This is where a time check came into play, being now only 9:30p and completely fucked up we headed back to Bushwick so I could show off the Kitten, and liberate the boose I brought back from Vacation. A visit from the Super brought us some candy to enjoy and the party got turned up a notch once again, Dance Hall, Radiohead, Hip Hop, the music dropped and the party went on, the last car left and now I'm here writing this crap down for you to enjoy. I hope it was worth the effort of reading all this.
I'll be at the Rain Lounge tomorrow in Williamsburg from 4:00 till close, come visit a brother if you get a chance.
Peace
