My room mates offered to pay my rent/bills and extra to stay home to clean and cook for them every once in a while. This would mean that I'd be babysitting the cutest dog all day and not having to work. I would of course want a part time job as well though, but this wouldn't be such a bad idea no?
Oh...I also finally loosened my trucks...finally, I'm so lazy.

also - when I as in college, I was a "housemom" instead of paying rent & utilities. I had to lay down ground rules, but it worked out pretty well. menus for the week were planned out, and everyone contributed to the grocery bills (anything people wanted for themselves was purchased by them, not on my trip to the store). I didn't clean people's bedrooms unless they paid me to do it separate from my other duties. I had rules about leaving stuff in the common areas (if they did it, I'd pile their crap outside the bedroom door, and if happened too frequently, the rest of the house ganged up on them and told 'em to cut it out). I kept the bathrooms, kitchen, and common rooms really clean, but people who made messes intentionally lost out on food privelelges (they didn't get to eat dinners with us, which was very effective). after the first two months, it worked really well. everyone was sad when I moved because I'd been really good about making big dishes (like lasagna), and putting the leftovers into individual portions in the freezer, so there was always home-cooked food to be had. I also kept things like carrot sticks cut up in the fridge, and there were other small portions of stuff so everyone could find a healthy snack easily. nobody in our house gained a "freshman 15". good luck! I hope your experience will be as fun as mine was.
