I think I might actually have a crush in the 3d world.
Odd. I don't know what to do without the computer glare burning holes in my eyes right back into my brain.
Most of my crushes here lately are online. I can sit around in paint spattered sweatpants chainsmoking with the cat in my lap, pretending that I don't have a pasta belly.
Now I might have to dress up all pretty-like and stand up straight.
The cat stays. She gets along with Lacey, or it don't happen.
Ciggarettes stay, too.

You know the old saying that describes idleness
"Sitting around and watching paint dry"?
Well, that's exactly what I'm doing. Thick off-white interior latex and dark-blue acrylic troweled onto canvas board. It's very thick in places...waiting for it to settle. The blue and white have slickly smeared and melted together, making icy, oceanic waves and sky-colored icebergs in low relief.
When it's dry, semi-gloss black abstract monotyping in blindly strategic places.

One cold chicken tender for breakfast. Coffee and cigs.
Brunch: Vanilla yogurt with fresh banana and (canned)peaches.
Upcoming pizza for dinner. Deep dish slice. Mushroom and tomato, maybe sausage.

I'm a bit bored.
reading:
"Mutant Message Down Under" -Marlo Morgan
An American white-lady holistic healer living a pampered, affluent, wealthy existence finds herself inadvertantly going on a Walk-About across Austraila with a little seen or known tribe of Aboriginals, changing her views of the world forever.
True story. Great book so far. Simple read, but very vivid and powerful.
"Essential Reiki" -Diane Stein.
It's da bomb.
Speaking of which:
"At a local highschool today, students cheered when told that the next terrorist attack might be 'the bomb'. "
Bu-dump-bump

Listening to:
The computer hum, the clock tick, and the cat lick herself.
*
Beard trimming time...getting a bit wooly.
*
"You gotta get out more, Lewie. Ya can get shack simple..."
From 'Hermit Poems' by Lew Welch.

Love love me, do
You know I love you
I'll always be true
So ple-e-ee-eeeze
Love me do. (Oh Oh yeh love me do..)
Someone to love
Somebody new
Someone to love
Someone like YOU!
