Well, the time has come. Ol' B5C is leaving SG, and this time for real. It's for financial reasons on the surface, but I've come to realize that I've achieved, not what I came here to do, but something much, much richer.

I originally signed on to get in touch with the spirit, the "me", of my teens and early twenties, but...

Seriously, I'm majorly fancying her at the moment; I even have that picture as my wallpaper, tiled four times ooo aaa

I know what you mean about painting folks; I feel that way sometimes, even though my work has almost always been primarily figurative. I especially feel that way when i see De Kooning's work, and Schiele's.

Your life does sound a bit grey. You're right - it'll pick up. It's no doubt mainly the move - the whole uprooting thing; makes you feel like you're skating about on the surface of things when you want to be under the ice, swimming around.

Sad to hear you won't be on here much longer frown How much time you got left? My 'sentence' ends in March, which feels like ages. Probably won't renew; I'll move on to greener pastures or something. This place has become more of a chore than a pleasure lately; I only come on for the friend-folks, really.

I haven't painted in a few weeks thanks to my own moving about of furniture and things. Feels shit. Unequivocally shit. So I can relate. I'm left getting creative with my journals and whatnot but, like you say - it just ain't the same; you feel like half a person.

The flooding we had was only on the other side of the country, I think; didn't pay much attention to it to be honest biggrin We live near a stream, though, so we'd better keep our fingers crossed.

Be well, man.

I thought I was good, ya know? I thought I was okay. But when something grabs you by not only the heart, but by the soul, and the compatibility is so acute that this person feels like, not only have they always been with you, but they are you, well, it takes its own sweet time drifting away.

I can puff up my chest and...

Personally, I think that the proper time to mourn is absolutely essential to healing. I'm sorry that you're feeling this pain.
chryssi:
I know only too well the pain of losing someone you are one with. I recently had to end a not very good for me relationship with that exact same kind of person. I felt that from the moment we meet we had always been together and we always should. The problem was we were both married at the time. Since then he has gotten divorced and it is extemely painful knowing that I still cannot be with him because I am still married. I love my husband but the feeling of belonging to him is not there. But I cannot move on, I am not able to hurt him in that way.I feel that my pain is my punishment for betraying my husband. So I can understand what it is like to crawl inside yourself and hide until things are better. And they will get better I promise. You have been a great friend to me and if you ever need me to return the favor let me know. Just like I told Silvery you have to take time to care for yourself or you can never really give to others.

Thinking of you,
Chryssi

The cabinets full of bottles

Colored with a captivation

Crawling in the ceiling, the
Wind. He pulled the smooth

Flesh up between his fingers
She "ouched" and laughter
Made her pretend her anger

Was real. There were nine

I'm noticing a recurring theme of containers in your poetry. Please tell me more about this!

Your writing always makes me think, because I can`t quite get the meaning. I was talking to dior and she was saying much the same thing. The odd line has her in wonder, even if she doesn`t understand it.

I'm fine. Overdue PM to follow this.

Yeah, all those guys have some of the 'mystery' in their work that Beuys' work had/has; that quality that makes their work seem like ancient relics or something. I have to say, though, that none of them can hold a candle to Beuys, imo. He was one hell of a unique human being. I'd take him over all those guys put together any day.

Cheers! biggrin

That picture is happiness, it is from NY, and it is exactly how things looked and felt. That's why I love it so. i din't have to manipulate. The RAW image looks exactly the same !

I think when you have children the center of YOUR universe shifts, but that man is wise. I am pretty famous round work for reminding ppl that the restaurant does not revolve around them, etc.

I agree with him mostly. Self exploration is a wonderful thing, can we really expect anybody to know us if we can't even know ourselves? Perhaps when I run out of things to talk about with daily living I will focus a journal on these thoughts. It is interesting. At least to me tongue

they were both geniuses but she was also pretty fucken insanely depressed, so that would be a big reason why it didn't work out with them. I mean i'd cheat on her too, if she was accusing me of it for so long when i wasn't doing it, and always being angry, high strung, and depressed.
Please watch that movie, it was intense. Talking about it again makes me want to run to the video store and buy it!
I used to write alot (in the summer, when i was alone with my thoughts most of the time) but now my thoughts are racing with biology, psychology, and everything else i'm learning in school (unfortunately not poetry this year). I love it all, but it'd be an understatement to say it keeps me busy.
Plus I always get so angry when i write, only because "the word, defining; muzzles," it's a love-HATE relationship.
