So here we go off on another tangent about the famous city of ATL.(f.i.l.a.) You know I miss my little city. It is not much of a town. Not near the size of NYC, of Chi-town for that fact. Matter of fact if you shut your eyes when driving down the interstate you will miss it. But Atlanta is not skyscrapers. In fact it is a town that has been torched two times to the ground and almost to the ground during the sixties race riots. When MLK died hell yeah the city burned. But that is just it the city is growing. It is at the birth stage. The time to grow into new technology instead of trying to cram new technology into old buildings. Every time I visit there is a new scrapper in the works. A new MARTA station opened up, a new interstate exist, a new store always something has changed. A where else is going 85mph is called "keeping up with traffic." The streets always cry to me. They tell a story. MLK started here. I sat in his church and cried. I had never heard the man speak till I sat a whole day in his museum. DAMN I say. ATL where else can it be 100 degrees outside with a humidity of 95% and people say, "It is a little cooler outside today." Where else can you be going 85mph then slam on your brakes and now you are not moving. Get comfortable. Most cities have rush hour during certain times and that is it. ATL has rush hours at certain times and then for no reason what-so-ever all of a sudden on any road you are stuck in traffic. Where did this come from and don't these people need to be some where? GA where else can you go from Metropolitan then to country from the mountains. What other city can you drive through the hoods and smell bar-b-q? What other city can you be in the middle of nowhere then into the middle of development? Then of corse the is Little Five. Buckhead and Cheshire. Piedmont Peachtree and Underground. So much to mention and I forget a lot of it. Decatur must be mentioned. I love the attitude there in streets. The parks and the unmistakable smell of the city. Damn I miss it every time. I miss the news I miss the traffic cams. I the miss the city. I never really went out clubin much although when I did I always had fun. I mostly seen the city. I loved to just drive and see where it would led me. The cool thing about my job would be one minute I would be in the hood and then the next I would be at a baseball players house. It was never a dull moment and people are always fucked up. If you took the human out of the job it would not have been so fun. Well in any event I hope to get my degree and move to another city. I would love to live in NYC (a real city) for a while but my heart always says ATL. I want to see her grow. I want to be there as she does. NYC is grown up. Where ATL one second a burned out warehouse next minute a scrapper......
And soul. Where else can you go from soul to heavy metal. Damn I love old soul music. Now there is some awesome shit. Any way I am going into nonsense so I will stop now. I all I say is (f.i.l.a.)
